Audio Installation Cost

I know the adapters for the bose system are costly but damn, i just purchased a avic-f700bt pioneer nav unit and calling around to local car audio shops and they want upwards of 350-500 bucks to just install a head unit! Now it's been awhile for me with car audio stuff, but damn that is more then i paid for the nav unit itself! Is this pricing sounding about right, i know those adapters cost around 130 bucks, but it still seems like a complete rip off at those quotes?

What are they exactly including in the install? What adapters etc.. May be about right depending on what all is included?

The pac adapter and the install for the head unit. I have the bose system and asked just for what it would cost to install the head unit and work with the factory speakers for now. That does not include the steering wheel adapter. From what i have seen those adapters seem to be about 100 bucks online and 130-150 at a install shop.
