I thought the BGN Champ got a shot at the Shootout as well.

How in the Sam Hill did Geoff(rey) Bodine get in. Was I on a "crack binge" when he got a pole?!?!

I thought Ryan newman was in the #19 and Casey Atwood in the #7!

Is NASCAR doing this to just mess me up or did I miss a major decision change? HELP!!

I'M NASCARILLY IMPAIRED!!

Okay, I just need to get my breathing under control(paper bag), and I need answers!

Geez Friz! One too many martinis tonight? :D

No BGN champ.

Geoffrey Bodine got the pole @ Homestead (I think).

Casey Atwood is in the #7, but Ray Evernham still Technically "Owns" the car he drives, and since Jeremy Mayfield (Not Ryan Newman, he's with Penske) did not get a pole last year, I guess Ray thought it would be better to put Atwood in the 19 car. (OR my "scource", That'sracin.com, doesn't have their facts straight. :( )

Here we go, from Jayski's.

Past Budweiser Shootout Winners(if they do not win a pole in 2001) are automatically eligible:

19) #20-Tony Stewart (won in 2001)

20) #2-Rusty Wallace (won in 1998)

21) #09-Geoffrey Bodine (won in 1992) - looks like he will NOT be in, see story below.

22) #36-Ken Schrader (won in 1989,1990)

23) #5-Terry Labonte (won in 1985)

-----

Bill Elliott won the pole at Homestead.

Yes, I did have a little touch of the grain last night. I was so frazzled by the fact that Harvick wasn't in it, I mixed up Ryan and Jeremy.

A few years ago at least, the BGN Champ was in the Busch Clash. It was David Green in a Busch sponsored Chevy.

Well I would like to know why he is practicing for the shootout if he's not going to be in it.  ???

From Jayski's:

Budweiser Shootout Practice Friday: #09-Geoffrey Bodine was fastest with a speed of 186.513mph with #19-Casey Atwood 2nd fastest at 186.451. Slowest was #24-Jeff Gordon at 182.996. See NASCAR.com for the Budweiser Shootout Practice Speeds. Most of the top speeds were accomplished in the draft. #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr ran the most laps, 51.(2-9-2002)

Who are you talking about?

He is suppose to be in it.  That was an older article.  I seen where they said why he wasn't, but now I can't find it.  He is a past winner of the Bud Shootout, Busch Clash when he won it in '92.
