I'm no financial genius. But this article seems to reflect one view on GM's future.

Is it time to sell GM stock or buy GM stock?

If you have at least 100 shares already then you will now have 1, if you have less than 100 shares, say 50 of them, then after the reverse split you will have 1/2 of a share.

I can ask my ol' man what he thinks of it. He has a good 10K shares in GM.

...stress out over it almost all the time.

He inherited it from his ol' man so its really*not* a total loss to him. He said he went this long, he is gonna go for broke.

1/100 thats bull crap. the primo price for stock is somewhere between 60-120 per share but 185 that is a bit steep. i have like 40 stock and i dont know if that will mean that i just get the shaft on that one and have to sell or i get to keep my 4/10 of a share. Stock splits are pointless neways, they do nothing but change the quantity you can buy at a time because of price. sounds like a screw job to me.

he wont be losing any money in the deal its all for new share purchases. yea technically he will have only 100 shares but the value of that stock will stay the same unless the market says :D:lol::lol: $185 and the market will adjust itself down for that one. like i said above, 1/100 is a bit steep
