89 Gmc Fuel Tank

I decided to replace the fuel pump on my K1500 today. When I pulled out the pump assembly I noticed a plastic baffle in the bottom of the tank. The baffle sould be held on at two points from what I can see, but there is only one fastener holding it on. If the baffle is moving around could this cause fuel pickup problems? I don't want to put it back together if this is going to cause problems.

Its there to prevent fuel sloshing on decell/accel.
