Mbrp Exhaust

I am close to purchasing a MBRP split dual exhaust for my 2008 GMC Sierra Denali 6.2L. I was wondering if anyone has a mbrp on this particular vehicle. If not, how have other peoples experiences been who have purchased an mbrp exhaust and do you have any sound clips? I have searched but I am just looking for more. Also, is there people who you think would be interested in purchasing a stock exhaust and how much is a reasonable price? I can get the mbrp exhaust with a lifetime warranty for $415 out the door, which I think is pretty good. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the split rear stainless system, and I like it...I paid about 500+install for mine. I have a 5.3L though so I'm not sure what the real sound difference is...There are a few MBRP posts here with sound so do search.

How loud is it? Any other brands you can compare the sound to?

It's a lot louder than stock I'll tell you that...I'd say it's just below a flowmaster and WAY quieter than those ricebox fartcans, but it'll get your attention when you get on it. It was pretty damn loud at first but it's sort of mellowed out after a few thousand miles. When I go WOT and it gets above 4,000 RPMs it sounds like a jet engine sometimes.

I'd say the only gripe I have with it is the motor wants to rev higher now...Basically the "powerband" has been moved up a bit so with the same amount of pedal pressure it'll be revving a few hundred rpms higher than normal. Partly because running duals takes away some of the low end (nothing MAJOR, but when you've been driving the truck long enough you can feel the little differences) but once it's past 3,500 rpms it'll feel like a rocket ship if the nannies don't take over.

Do you think that is the cheapest I will find this exhaust or does anyone know where it may be cheaper? It is the dual split XP version for $415 otd.

That's a pretty damn good price considering I was looking at 480 otd on autoanything at the time.
