Towing Package

My new to me 2004 Silverado came with the towing package and i was just wondering exactly what that means. I know it means it came with the hitch in the back but is there anything else included in the package?

It probably comes with a transmission cooler. The 07-09 NBS option includes it atleast.

It has what looks like a little radiator in front of the regular big one in the front of the truck ...is that a transmission cooler?

receiver hitch, trans cooler, oil cooler, wire harness to rear bumper, and rear locker I believe on a 2004

Transmission cooler actually built into your radiator. You'll see the lines coming in/out at the top and bottom. The little radiator you see infront of the radiator is for the ac.

EDIT: The GMT-900 with trailering package also have the Auxiliary transmission cooler and is the small one in front of the radiator.

The tow package with the 800s came with the external transmission cooler, so that's what you see. I believe the A/C condenser is the front big one in front of the radiator. Like someone else said it also came with a G80 gov-lock rear end, idk about the oil cooler.

No G80 locker on the 2004 tow package, at least not on crew cabs. My truck's only option was the tow package and no locker.

My 2000 has the tow (trailering) package which adds a second trans cooler (little one in front of the AC condenser in series with the radiator), oil cooler in the radiator, the rear 7 pin connector, brake controller harness and tow hitch.

 

I can't imagine 2004 is any different. The lower 4.10 gears and G80 locker isn't part of that package. I've seen many with the trailering package with 3.73 and no locker.
