Anybody Have A Creeky Bodymount?

Just in the past week or so I have noticed a creek coming from the pass. side. It only happens when I start out from a stop or come to a stop. The slower i come to a stop the slower the creek. it could be anything making that noise but it is most def. the body or frame.

will the warr. cover this?

It might be from the brake disk (when hot, it deforms) then the pad brake hit the unbalanced disk...

It will do it any temp. To me it sounds like there is some flex going on in the body or frame.

Do you have nerf bars on the truck? Yes, your warranty will cover this--assuming, of course, the dealership can replicate and remedy the issue.

No bars. I am thinking if I took it in, this would be one of those times where the truck will be there for weeks.

I just wonder if anybody else had this prob.

mine did it last winter , when it was cold and wet. it was in there 4 times for it. guess what happened they couldn't get it make the noise. one time i left and it was doing and i brought it back in. they put it on the rack and still couldn't find it. so good luck and it sounds like a spring or body mount squeaking.

There is a TSB on this.

What you have described is the exact condition that warrants the need for the teflon pad under the body mount bushing (mine was the same exact way)

Mine used to make that poping sound when pullingout of my driveway. now i get the creeking sound. I wonder if its related. Looks like its going in next week for the run around.

Mine creaked just like you're describing- that tsb quieted it right up.

Well the insulators are $2.08 at GM Parts Direct, and they list for $3.39 at the Dealer, so I called my dealer, and they didn't have any in stock, and neither did the warehouse, so they said it could be a while, so I am kickin around making some??
