Why Is This?

My friend has a 05 avalanche and i have a 06 z71 and when we tryed to hold break and push gas like a power brake both only go to 2k rpms and just stay there no matter how much more gas u give it is this the stall and of so would that mean its a 2k and i should get like a 3k?

Pretty sure it's the computer limiting it ('03+ are drive-by-wire).

i jus got a programmer today set to perform will that not override all that b/s

Justin (or any other custom tuner that uses EFI Live or HP Tuners) can. Handhelds cannot.

its just one of those features that helps you keep your truck lasting longer. if you really want to wear down the tires that bad drop it in 1, the traction control systems are turned off in that gear and you have a better chance at getting them spinning. i'm not sure how Av's with stock wheel/tire packages will do, but my high performance tires will barely spin even if the road is wet, so i don't even both trying.

There is "Torque Braking" functionality in the ECM (it can be set to On/Off). From the factory, this setting is, of course, "On", meaning, Torque Braking Protection is ON, meaning you can't power brake..

It CAN be turned off. You have two choices. A custom tune/ECM with it turned off, or a handheld WHICH CAN ACCESS THAT FEATURE SPECIFICALLY AND TURN IT OFF. Not all of them can.

The Diablosport Predator will NOT allow you to pop that one as an end user. You can, however, have it turned off in the tune file via a CMR delaer, and push the tune to your car, and get rid of it that way..

On the later Diablo performance tunes, the built in tunes you get with the unit have it turned off by default. I believe this is true for the U7194, which is the appropriate unit for the 900 trucks.

It may, indeed, be the case that TC get over-ridden when you do that, BUT, the Power Enrichment delays and the other nannies will, more than likely, still be present.
