Zone 6 Inch Lift

This kit says the backspacing needs to be 4.5". So, does that mean I can get wheels with more backspacing or is that the maximum? Kind of new to this so any help is appreciated.

Thanks

It means you need wheels that stick out in order to clear. You DO NOT want a wheel with more backspace. There are other kits that will let you run more backspacing..

It depends on your wheel size. The below is off of Zone's website and is for 07+, but I'm pretty sure the spindles are the same.

Back spacing: 4.5"w/17, 5" w/18, 5.75"w/20's

Yeah, BDS is the same way. One of the tech's there was saying you could get away with a 20" rim with 6" of BS. Contact the kit maker. They test alot of wheel/BS combinations.

gotta look at tire width too, even if the wheel clears, the tire can rub on the spindle if you too much backspace... Its just safer to go witha wheel that sticks out a little more, why cut it close and then be pissed off when it rubs?

5" is the backspacing. Offset should be a number such as 15mm or -25mm. A positive offset sucks the wheel into the truck and a negative offset pushes the wheel away.

The vendors that I've talked to say that an 18" rim should have no more than 5.25 inches of BSing. With an 18x9 @ 5" of BSing, you should be just fine.
