Tpm Falsing Due To Radio Interference From Wireless Broadband Internet

TPM system appears to be falsing due to RF interference from the Auto Vehicle Locator (AVL) system installed in serveral 2007 trucks in the fleet. In some cases it appears that about 16 miles once the vehicle in motion the tire pressure alarm lights up. We have moved the antenna for the AVL system as far from the TPM module as possible. What we need to know is what Frequency the RCDLR is using to detect the TPM transmissions. This will help us determine if we could use a different carrier (Wireless Broadband provider) to aleviate the problem. It is important for you to know that we have over a thousand units in the field using this exact same system with and without TPM systems with no problems. It appears to be only on the 2007 GM trucks.

Also worst case senario can the system be disabled or turn off so as to eliminate the TPM light on the dash, I guess we could remove the indicator lamp, but would there be any other adverse effects on the vehicle's operation.

I believe the sensors run on 315 MHz.

 

Also TPMS is federally mandated, can't disable it.
