Hi, I want to install the bilstein system beacuse the opinions in this forum are very good about bilstein systems.

So I deciede to search in the forum for people who has intalled the shocks and found: user: AlaskaLTZ, has it installed in the gmt900 pikcup truck.

I checked the posts and there was parts numberes:

AlaskaLTZ:"Part #s I got were: BE5E376HO and BE5E377HO ",

So, while reading the forum i looked up the ad about buy 4shocks pay3.. I decide to contact the online store: Allshocks.com trought their contact email, and theres is the answer I got:

Carlos,

Unfortunately, these shocks have not yet been released for sale by Bilstein. According to the info I currently have, the front shocks will be manually adjustable, but will not be externally adjustable or self adjusting for height.

If you would like, I would be happy to email you when these are released for sale.

Thanks,

Kevin Foote

So, my final question is:...... How to buy it? prices? where??

And Also, is it a manual shick, like the ranbcho one??? I deciede not buying the rancho ones beacuse are manual-adjustment needed, and i dont want it. I want something like my oem shicks, i dont need to care about it...

You can also call Bilstein, 1-704-663-7563. I did and was told that they are available. The rear shocks have 1" more travel than stock and will work fine with either no lift in the rear or a 1" block spacer should you want to lift the rear of oyur truck. The fronts are adjustable at time of installation for the amount of lift (levelling) you desire. They have not yet tested on '09's, just 07's and 08's. For that reason the struts and shocks are not listed by them as fitting the '09's until they actually try it. They advised me to get confirmation from GM that no suspension changes were made for '09 before I purchased.

There is a bit of confusion as to how much lift you can get with these on the front. I've heard some say that 2.5" is the most while others say it is 1.75".

where can i order the rear 1" block to back-lift the truck? As I understand theres 1in more larger rear shocks, and I can go with a rear 1in block...

thank you.

Mine measured right around 2.5 of lift.

Oh yeah, those part numbers are correct.

You added a 1" block on your truck..correct? I wonder is the 2.5" is too much for levelling if you leave the rear end alone. I know you have the option of less than 2.5" with the Bilstein so it wouldn't be a problem.

No. I have AirLift air bags for towing, I just put a few PSI in them to get it raised in the rear.
