Well, I don't mind Martin winning it.   I was just glad that Johnson got out that far back and Gordon couldn't catch him either.        Once Jr. went out I was pretty much rooting for Martin, unless some act of God would put Rusty up there in the mix.  :D

I was pulling for Jimmie Johnson. I think he would have pulled it of except for that "rookie mistake".

Congratulations to Mark, he drove his butt off, but honestly, I think Matt Kenseth backed off. He just didn't look like he was trying to catch Mark Martin.

(sorry General, I know that statement will piss you off  )

Yeah, well Bobby Labonte was nowhere to be seen around the front pack so that sucked.  But I was pulling for Jimmie Johnson through the race, he almost had it if he wouldn't have made that mistake.   ??? I like Johnson, even though his car is owned by Jeff Gordon who I don't like.

I'm not sure.  It did look like he backed off some.  But I just wonder how much he was gonna back off.  Martin was really pushing to get through that lapped traffic like he was afraid if he didn't he was gonna get passed.  He made some moves to put those cars between them that you wouldn't expect to see by the lead car passing lapped traffic.  It could've been either way.  The good thing about NASCAR is we'll never really know.  We won't see the team orders like we do in F1, we'll just have to speculate.  But even if he did back off, so what, he gained ponts on Marlin, had a good finish and his car owner won the race.  Kenseth has already won this year, so getting a good finish and seeing Mark finally get a win again was a good night for him.

Didn't watch a bit of the race, was planning on it, but for various reasons it didn't happen.  I heard on the radio that both my favorites, Ward and Newman, had been knocked out of the race so I really didn't try too hard to find a TV.  Hard to believe I was at that race a year ago, sure doesn't feel that long ago.
