Alignment Specs

I took my truck in to get an allignment on Monday, I was having a tire wear issue, the inside edge of the tires was wearing bad, there was actually chunks torn out of the tires. anyway, I took it to a local tire dealer that has a pretty good rep, actually that is where the local Chevy dealer gets all of thier allignments done.

They alligned it and it seems OK except that it pulls slightly to the left, I tried it in both lanes of the interstate and going in both directions, (east and west) and it always pulls the same (slightly to the left).

The guy said bring it back and he will put it back on the rack and recheck everything but here is my question, I noticed on the report that he gave me that when he entered the truck info into the allignment machine that he put in a 2007 Classic GMT800 4x4 with 17" wheels, I have a 2008 4x4 GMT900 with 18" wheels.

Are the allignment specs the same on the 800's as the 900's, I know the suspension changed from torsion bars to coil overs but I wonder if the specs are the same, can someone verify this for me before I take it back on Saturday.

Thanks

Can't image they would be the same between the 800 and 900's. Completely different suspension on the front end. I've been told now by 2 dealerships that these trucks seem to wear the tires faster on the inside. Don't know if it's true or not...

Thanks for the response, I have a service manual on the GMT800 but I don;t have one on my 08 (GMT900)yet (not sure if one is availible).

I may be able to call the Chevy dealership and ask, but I doubt they take the time to answer the question.

Maybe someone here has the answer.

The guy gave me a print out of what he left everything set at, I just have no way of knowing if it is the correct settings, I googled it with no luck.

They are correct for the GMT800, just don't know about for a 900.

I forgot to bring that to work with me, I will check it when I get home this afternoon and let you know, and thanks again for the info.

Looks like the 800 and the 900 have the same allignment specs, thanks for the help.

Amazing... You wouldn't think they'd be the same since they have completely different front suspensions. :D

Good to know though.

And your welcome.
