Awesome Bill from Dawsonville got his first win since Homestead last year. He was driving the Homestead car that sat on the pole and won there.

On lap one, Rusty and Park got together off of turn one, sending Park into Earnhardt and on into the infield fence. Park flipped and destroyed about one hundred feet of fence. Both drivers walked away.

After a one hour red flag to fix the fence, they ran 26 laps and went red for rain for about four hours.

Then it was ON!

Jerry Nadeau and Jeremy Mayfield touched in turn three sending Mayfield hard into the infield wall.

Mayfield was pretty unhappy about it and let Nadeau know when Nadeau hit the wall in turn one later on.

Sterling Marlin led most of the race, with Elliot in the second spot. Elliot took the lead with 18 laps to go and never looked back.

Go Bill!

BTW, Dodge swept all the stock car races that they ran this weekend. Craftsman Truck series, BGN, WC and ARCA were all won by MOPARS.

  Yep, good race.  Glad to see Park wasn't hurt.  That reminded me alot of Davey Allisons wreck there back around '92 or so.

Good to see Awesome Bill win again too.   My mom was happy, I'm sure.  :D

I thought it was pretty damn cool to see Dale Jr running over to Parks car to make sure he was ok, and then walking over to the ambulance with him.  Interviews afterwards were good as well.

So much for all the media BS that those two don't get along....
