So I've been doing my research on HID kits and I want to get this straight. With "plug and play" kits without a relay they might flicker due drl's lower running voltage, however with a relay they wont flicker because they are pulling off the battery? If this is true then am I correct in saying that with a relay I can still have my lights function normally as in not disconnect the drl and the HID will simply replace my halogens?

Also for my highbeams is a 55watt kit worth it, pros? cons? price difference is about 20 bucks

You are correct. Using no relay you must pull the fuse(s) to prevent any flickering. With the relay you do not need to remove any relays and your DRL will work properly.

55 watt kits are not worth it. Supposedly they come with ballasts just capable of 55 watts but still use 35 watt bulbs. 35 watt is all you need, the premium for 55 is not worth it IMO.
