08 Chevy Bumpers

Well guys I got into a wreck today. I was in the middle of a 3 car pile up. So the front and rear bumpers are trashed. My question is what's good in the aftermarket as far as bumpers? I'm thinking upgrade since there going to be changed. My truck is an 08 silverado 4 door 5.3L.

Oh man that sucks. Are you looking for Factory replacements or something that takes a punishment. Ranch hand makes a full steel bumper.

Well if you don't mind your bumper getting chipped and scratched up, sure, go for the painted bumper and bumper caps..

That's about your only option then. I have not seen anything for the rear besides rollpans.

But yes streetscene is what i have on my front end, and they make a rear rollpan too. I plan on getting that this fall. As far getting chipped/scratches, that can happen on the factory paint too. I put across the whole front/bumper caps 3m clear vinyl to protect against such possibilities.

Does any aftermarket company make an actual steel bumper that is even close in size, fit and style as the 1500s OEM "bumper"?( that a 12 year old girl could cow-kick in) You know, like a bumper that can be bumped in the real world, but not looking like you're ready to punt deer or herd cows with?

Funny but true story: on my NBS Silverado shortly after purchase I removed a bar coded sticker from inside the rear "bumper" shell- it said "flexi-gate". No false advertising there....
