Is this for people that HAD Onstar and let iyt expire aftetr the 1st free year?

 

If that's the case, I need to do this for my wife. We recently lets hers expire on her 08 Acadia.

I don't know...but they will PROBABLY ask for one...

I always use one that is about to expire. That way it don't work after a very short time.

 

Try telling them that you want "JUST" the free trial and if you decide to keep it, you will call them back.

 

Check with your credit card company for a ONE TIME USE number. You can then give them that number.. "IF" you have to and then cancel it.

Then there will not be a VALID number on file.

I just tried to do this on my wifes Acadia and they said I was obligated to sign up for 12 months after the 3 months where over and they also wanted a credit card for the billing.

 

It didn't work for me.

They are probably like just about any other place where you have a bunch of people answering phones...a large percentage ain't gonna know what is really going on.

same here, if you read the f'n fine print on the bottom it does say "SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE AGREEMENT REQUIRED"
