Temp. Sensor?

Recently on my way home I realized that my temperature gauge wasnt moving at all. It was completely bottomed out. I have heat and A/C. I only thought is that it could be a temperature sensor. Not to sure thought.

Also does anyone know where the temperature sensor is located in this truck. I bought it used and it didnt have a manual. I am having a hard time finding just an owners manual. Anyone know where to get one at a reasonable price.

Engine coolant is on the driver's side of the block, near cylinder 1 (front driver).

 

Another possibility is the gauge on the dash is shot. Not sure if the MIL would light if the temp sender stopped working.
