I installed the unit after I programmed thru the dealer...and so everything is working great except one thing....I'm getting a low sound when I play a CD or a radio...I have searched everywhere and I didn't get the answer...did anyone face a similar problem or it's just me...please help :D:(

From what I have read, if your truck didn't come from the factory with a BOSE sound system, you will need to install a 50watt Amplifier to correct the low sound issue. Has something to do with the Nav system being a BOSE system, and your system not being BOSE.

I just installed the NAV unit today (my truck didn't come with BOSE), and will be getting an AMP installed this week. (Hopefully). I will let you know if that solves the problem.

I can help you. THe last person is Right. You will need an amplifier. it should be 25-50 watts by 4 and make sure they use the low level inputs on the amp you buy. Sony makes the best one I have found in my MANY installations of these into GMs. the XM4S. The factory navigation audio outputs can be used high level or low level. But most amp companies only put their beset filtration for noise on the low level side.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
