sorry kept getting the errors when trying to post

 

 

Is there a special way unhook the air breather line that connects the air intake to the part at the intake manifold

 

i put in my cai and unhooking the breather hose was easy at one end, but i dont want to force it off at the other

 

 

any tricks?

Mark, if it's the same as my 2008 6.0, then there's nothing special to unhook it. It should have a rubber boot that connects the small hard plastic hose to the fitting. Just grip the rubber boot where it connects to the top of the valve cover and wiggle it slightly...it should pull off.

Yup, it should just come off if you yank on it. I did have to muscle mine just a bit but as long as you're pulling straight outward, you aren't likely to break anything.

i figured it out....it was hard plastic and needed to be sqeezed to release the clip that held it on.....maybe 09's are different?

The 09's are different from the '07-08's.
