Can Hand Held Programmers Corupt A Stock Tune?

I was wondering if a tuner such as a Superchips flashpaq could corupt a factory tune. After installing and uninstalling mine a couple times, my factory tune does not feel the same on my 07 chevy.

My boss had the same problem with his new tahoe. His stock trans tune got all messed up. Our guy at the dealer told us he flashed it and now its fine.

From what the dealer has told me. If they suspect a tune, the are to download what you have on your PCM and send it to GM. They will compare it and if it doesn't match the factory tune your gonna have warranty issues.

i have the 2950 cortex and I dont have any problems when I uninstall my tune. It takes it about a day for the motor to return to stock power and the transmission to start shifting like stock again

I had a hypertech tuner but it was junk and it only tuned my truck once. they say if you have any problems theyll refund your money but they didnt and they finlly sent me an upgraded max energy tuner and it would not tune either. im not tryin to jack your thread but does anyone know why it would not tune my truck.

I had a Hypertech Max tuner for my 2500 HD / 6.0L work truck and it was crap. It is SO senstive to any draw on the electrical system when downloading, it is pathetic.
