I'm sure it has been. When the R&D went into this vehicle and building the plant to build these trucks, trucks and SUV's were selling at high volume and high profit...not anymore. It was launched at a really bad time. For example, if the Chevy Volt came out right now, it would be a dud. Six months ago GM would have been able to set almost any price on it and it would have sold.

Personally I can see the Sequoia and FJ going before the Tundra. Toyota is following GM's footsteps in making lame SUV's that just pillage sales from each other.

Do they really need the Rav4, Highlander, 4Runner, Venza and Sequoia? No need for the FJ if the 4Runner is still around. Just like Chevy....lots of overlap

Blogs are funny, everyone has an expert opinion. Blogs aren't exactly news.

Is the Venza a SUV? I'd never heard of them until i saw one last night. it just looked like a Camry wagon...

Well it would be nice if the possibility of Sequoia and tundra death would become a reality.... GM sales might go up a little... haha

Yeah, they (the Big 3) could divvy up those 6000 Tundra sales/month between the 3 of them and each would get 2000 more sales/month. Woohoo!!!

it was originally billed as a 'crossover' SUV, but they've since removed that title and now i believe they consider it to be in the sedan family.

:D

Wouldn't even be a drop in the bucket compared to the 129,000 LOST SALES GM had on their trucks this year compared to last year. Tundra lost 35,000 compared to last year...but yeah Toyota sucks

I saw one up close and don't know what to make of it. Sort of like an Equinox. The AWD ones look like a SUV with low ground clearance....and like the Equinox, ugly as sin and impractical.

 Look's like they need  .

Maybe like a welfare handout

Toyota publically gave the FJ the axe back in mid summer. It was in a Toyota press release. I'm not sorry to see them losing millions in the full size truck market at all. I'm not a toyota fan.

Now compare the numbers as percentages Dana. The economy created all of those lost sales, not Toyota.

And where did I say in my post that Toyota sucks? You aren't becoming a word-spinning fanboy now too are ya?
