BECAUSE I BOUGHT SCOOSCHE ,AND IT DOESN'T ,THEIR TECH SAYS IT'S BECAUSE OF LACK OF MEMORY INSIDE THE HEADUNIT...

I just put in a periphial and it works awesome. Full controls through the steering wheel and view playlist and everything. Displays song title

Will that work on an 06 with the bose/6 disc head unit? What is the best ipod int. for that radio if not this one?

jchrist ; I know your interface is working,but can you tell me what version your radio is. I have read that certain low end factory radios won't work. Can you tell me what factory radio you have.. thanks.. I will buy what you bought, i just have a feeling it won't work with my radio...

I haven't gotten mine yet but I plan to very shortly. My local GMC dealer is quoting me a price of $159 for the unit itself but they supposed to get back to me about the labor charges. Does anyone know if $159 is a good price? Also, any idea how long this job should take? I can't imagine that it would take long since it's basically just a cable that plugs into the back of the radio. This is for a 2008 Yukon Denali with factory nav and XM.

I have a peripheral electronics, that does what the GM one does, I expect GM's to work better though.

$159 isn't too bad then (I guess it depends on your area). Did they give you a labor quote?

From what I've been reading, the GM PAL is okay. It will charge your IPod and let you navigate around the songs, but there is no shuffle support. Also, from all accounts, the PAL will not work if you have a factory NAV unit.

that's my case!!! I got NAV system...so it won't work??? Are you very sure?

Admittedly the information is sketchy, so I cannot say I am very sure. But what I was reading on a corvette forum is that the PAL doesn't work with the NAV system. Apparently due to that vehicles with NAV use a 29bit data bus and vehicle without NAV primarily use an 11bit data bus. So expanding on that I would say the PAL is designed for an 11bit bus which isn't available on vehicles with a NAV system.
