Switching To Automatic Climate Control

I have an 04 silverado LS that I want to switch from a manual to an automatic climate control. When I tried to swap them out I notice that the manual has a black and the auto has an gray second block connection. The main block connection works and powers the climate head on I can switch it on and the screen reflects the input. Does anyone know if it's possible to make this work by getting the second gray connector (I believe it sends to the fan) and 'patching' into the existing wiring?

Its possible...someone here has done it before...about a year ago...There is a post around about how it needs to be done. Search for it...I know its on here.
