Bought a cheapo gauge overlay off eBay for $9.95 plus $9.95 shipping from this guy. They came today and took me about 40 mins to put in. I soldered the power leads into the cluster circuit for the lights and it works like a champ. Dims with the factory dimmer knob. The overlay does come with a dimming module but I didn't need it cus I'm clever.

Only thing I don't like is that the idiot lights are not colored anymore and the odometer is really bright b/c the standard overlay has a smoked area above the LEDs. What I will do is reuse those parts of the stock overlay so that only the 6 guages are white.

 

Not bad for a $20 tweak.

OK, I used some of the stock overlay around the blank dial and the idiot lights and it looks great. I also used the smoked area in front of the odometer LEDs.

 

 

So...$20 and about and hour and a half.
