We have just received word that Magnuson now has their intercooled supercharger available for the 2007 GM trucks powered by the 5.3 motor (engine code J). This kit is 49 state legal. They are still waiting on carb numbers for California.

Are there different stages with this charger? Is there a revised pulley setup like Roush offers on their Ford F150 package to even out the loading on the belt? What kind of gains can we expect? How much?

Woowoo, I have Engine Code "J"! ...and only 1273 miles on my 5 Yr/100K mile warranty... ! Guess it my be a while!

Magnuson sets these up to produce 5-6 psi. Smaller pulleys are available but they void the supercharger warranty. We've been selling/installing these for years and it's very rare that I see one that has to go back for warranty work. You can expect to see about a 100hp increase at the wheels with the stock pulley. Boost is available from about 2000 RPMs so you can feel the power without bringing the RPMs up much.

Regular retail is $5669.99 for the satin and $6439.99 for the polished. We can only provide the current introductory prices over the phone.

"supposed " being the operative word! When I had my F-150 I just asked about a chip and they threatened to void my warranty! It's a lot easier to hide the use of an aftermarket chip than it is a supercharger! I've known a lot of folks who have had warranty work denied for a lot less. Unfortunately, dealerships aren't as forgiving as the aftermarket manufacturers, and it's easy for the aftermarket world to boast the protections of the Magnusen-Moss Act, but in reality, that requires time and money, something that's pretty tight these days!!! This is great for someone's project truck, but I have to rely on mine to make a living. So, as much fun as a S/C would be, I'll have to stay N/A!

What are the details on the Magnacharger drivetrain warranty? What does it cover, how does it work, etc?

Do they keep replacing the burnt 4 speed transmissions until the warranty runs out or the owner gets a beefier trans?

I think I'll hafta pass until my warranty is up although I'd love to have one!!! I'd also have to beef up some other stuff so it'd be 10k by the time I'm done......

I'm waiting for some info to reply to a few of the questions here. There used to be a link to the Drivetrain Warranty on Magnuson's site but I can't find that now. There is alot of fine print for that so I recommend that people read it twice.

The Radix supercharger usually provides about a 100hp increase at the wheels with 5psi. The 6.0/6.2 kits should be available in September.

This kit will work with flex fuel and active fuel management vehicles. The tuning shuts off both of those options.

We're waiting for a PDF for the Drivetrain Warranty. Most people don't go with the option. It's only available for kits that are installed the my cerified technician.

Well, it looks like Magnuson has jumped the gun with a release. We received the following info a couple of weeks ago -

But now... they say that the kits are still a few weeks out. Probably sometime in September. For the orders that are coming in, none of them will be charged until the kits are ready. I guess we'll call it really ready.

Please keep us posted on a kit for the 2007 NBS 6.0 (VortecMax) series. In particular I have the following questions:

1) AFM How to handle.

2) Any additional items needed to support this supercharger (PCM tuning, etc).

3) If PCM tuning is required -- does this kit provide this or do I need to visit a tuner.

why is it only for the iron block code "j"? I have an aluminum block code "M"....What is the difference besides what the material is that it's made from? Someone shed some light on this for me!

The reason for the iron "J" classification is for the tuning. They say the kit should physically bolt on but they can't guarantee it until they get vehicles with different code classifications to test fit.

AFM will be turned off with in the tuning that is provided with the kit. Nothing else will be required for the install.
