Curbside Mirror Option (can It Be Installed?)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Been looking through the previous thread on the curbside assist option for mirrors. I have an LT1 with power folding and signal mirrors right now. How do I get the curbside option? It normally comes with LTZ package and I think I read something about it having to do with the seat memory option controls.

Can someone point me in the right direction on either how to install this option (if I can) or a post that explains it....

google search on this was not my friend... everything else about side mirrors other than the curbside option.

Thanks

Is that the same as the mirror lowering when backing up, like to see the pavement markings in a parking lot? That's one option I'd like to have.

I want it too. I have to adjust my mirror almost every time I park b/c I can't see crap anymore.

I just added little stick on convex mirrors to cover. They let me see the whole side of my truck from the ground up and mirrors back, they also let you adjust your mirrors out a little more then most would so you can get rid of your blind spots.

That is a nice option to have. There's a guy at my work who has a 2005 and his dose it. He also has the option to turn it off in the DIC. I fold mine in and the mirrior it self comes down to fold in. I wish I could have that.

Matthew,Since you have On-Star don't you the steering wheel controls? You should have the option in the DIC to turn that feature on/off,On the GMT800 trucks you didn't have to get the LT3/LTZ trim level to get that feature,Unless they took it out for the '07 GMT800 Classic's,My '04 had it.

I added the mirrors, and bought the driver window control switchs so the folding would work. It was plug and play. No cutting the wires at all.

Yeah,I've done a few of those mirror upgrades myself on the GMT800 trucks,I didn't know you added them to your truck,I thought it already had them.

I did the same thing you did, I can fold open/close(when they open its tilted down and then moves up to the preset level), I do not see the control for this in my DIC. I'm I just missing it

If your truck wasn't factory equipped with the DL3 pwr. folding mirrors I wouldn't think it would be in your DIC,The dealer might be able to program it in though.

I went to 3 dealers in my area, they frist told me it was not possible to put the singnals in my truck. I showed them that I did and they said that I had cut wires. I told them how I did it and what I wanted them to try to program the crubview thing and they also told me that was not possible. All 3 dealers won't touch my truck.
