You mean this button? lol Surprising enough because of all the holes in the octopus it doesn't block very much light bar light.4 points

I truly hope all these issues with your truck are corrected. No one should spend the money these trucks cost and not be happy/satisfied with their purchase. It's a shame your asinine remarks detract from the fact that you have genuine issues to share.3 points

Correcting me? Funny. Like I stated earlier, you are full of yourself. I sympathize with anyone have issues with their expensive trucks and have no problems with the majority that are looking to share experiences, fixes and to look for answers. Eighty percent of your posts are attempts to make yourself feel better by telling others their time is coming.2 points

Looking good Sarah. I especially like that you chose to have the white letters facing out.1 point

Yes, I had lawyers looking into this. They had their industry experts and insiders come back with the mounts on the trucks ie: engine, body frame etc. the firm said until the trucks are out of warranty there is nothing they can do because their firm doesn't handle lemon law type cases. Which as long as the trucks are in warranty, is what this would be. Because that info was from "confidential sources" I couldn't say it, but once someone else came in saying that their dealer said it is the mounts, and that GM wasn't going to do anything about it, I could legally chime in to confirm that. A couple days ago I shot an email to a few of my old engineering professors, one of which was a consultant to toyota for the structural integrity of their roofs, to see if he still has any industry contacts that may be able to give me some more info. I'm waiting to see what he says. GM knows and has known what the problem is for quite a while, they are not going to fix it. I will be filing with the BBB or suing GM at the end of the month as I have my 3 repair attempts (depends on how they want to act toward a full buy back... they want to play hard ball, I will play hard ball) Only reason I am keeping it that long is I am currently getting paid to use my truck for work, that will end in Mid December so I figure that will be about the time the case will be settled and I get a brand new truck after getting paid to use this one for 4 months lol... gotta think ahead hahaha1 point

Man I need to stay away from these threads unless I Start having a problem. I am so in love with my truck, I would be completely mortified if this started happening. It really scares me that it seems to crop up for some people too. At first I thought this issue sounded like most people had it from the get go and that since I didn't I was lucky/out of the woods, but I'm seeing more and more of the posts where people were vibration free and then it started. I've got about 900 miles on mine and so far so good (knocking on wood). I have my second baby coming in January and am so busy with life and work I would be losing my fricking mind if I were dealing with this. I feel so bad for you folks, I really do. I truly hope they figure out a way to cure this. They are such beautiful trucks otherwise. I can't even imagine what this will do to resale values for these model years as well. This really is criminal at this point. I would be so pissed if they kept tearing apart my brand new truck trying different crap too. No one should have their brand new truck screwed with this much. Who knows what other issues they are causing every time they tinker with it. Seriously, best of luck to all you poor souls...I feel for you, I truly do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Find a different dealer or call GM customer service. I cannot/could not tell when either of my trucks switched to V4. Your dealer is stupid. That isn't GM's fault.1 point

Thanks! I'm running a -24 offset, so they stuck out about 2". I was tired of fixing rock chips, so I put some flares on it and flushed everything up. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk1 point

Someone will pop in to say, I follow several different threads so it is hard to tell which one.1 point

I got one of those automated "how was our service" emails from my dealership, I sent them this back: I'm sure I'll get a response, but I doubt anything will come of it.1 point

Looks good man! I'm usually not a big fan of those big steel bumpers but I really dig that. I do think the fender flares are a little overkill since the wheels and tires seem to sit pretty well tucked in. I think it would look a little cleaner with them off or with spacers or wider tires.1 point

Spec on these new trucks is 15lbs road force max limit. You need to find a new dealer. It's sad when the public knows more about gm specs than the service department does.1 point

I am on this forum because I own a GM truck. I am not bashing GM but I understand how my candid remarks upsets loyal fans of this brand. All I can say is dont take it personal. I had a popping sound coming from the rear of the truck I greased the leaf springs it went away for two weeks. Took it in they found out it was in fact the leaf springs. They actually pushed dents in the bed section trying to diagnose it. I am lucky I noticed it as they fesed up and had the dents repaired. The paintless dent repair was perfect. But when I got it back it was still popping. After the denting situation I did not trust this dealership. I took it home and found that the u-bolts only had about 45ft lbs of torque. I tighten the bolts to 75-80ft lbs and nomore popping. I then switch to another dealership.1 point

I'm loving it. I enjoy driving it around town (small rural town), on the highway and in larger cities I've driven it in. It rides great and I've not had any vibration issues short of one time on interstate running 75mph. I moved into another lane and ride smoothed out so. This was section of highway I've driven in several different vehicles and none ride smooth on it.1 point

I like the magnetic ride. It's just right for highway drives, imho. Firm on on-ramps and off-ramps. I never tried the non-magnetic to compare to, but it's much better than the enclave/acadia/traverse. 100% satisfied of we can just solve the boom and/or vibration...1 point

This is my video, I show How to use a diode to use reverse led lights with a switch and with reverse. In your case instead of taping into the reverse for power, you'll tap into the hi beam but the rest will be the same. 2014 Silverado 2WT CC Summit White 4.3L V6 DROPKICK Edition IG: jorge_dropkick_rangel1 point

Vacuumed the interior and witnessed a wreck. Was pouring rain (typical Florida monsoon lol) and there was a Camry (it's always a Camry, have you noticed?) tailgating me. I turned into my neighborhood. Guy pulling out of it thought there was no one behind me, since the Camry was so close to me he probably couldn't see it, and pulled out. All I heard was the loud bang. Luckily I was only doing around 30 because of the rain so I checked and none of them got hurt. Don't tailgate! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XBCURW?keywords=303%20aerospace%20protectant&qid=1444259086&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2 It is a good product. It is UV resistant. I will let you read the reviews but I have been using it for a few years and I am happy with it.1 point

You will probably only see 22 mpg on a 55 mph highway and not driving into a headwind.1 point

Yes, my truck buffets. I believe that #1 and #2 are the same issue. Buffeting is repeated booms, at least to my ears. To recap, I experience: Single instances of "the boom" at low speeds over bumps [driveways, expansion joints...]; coincides when rear wheels go over the bump; sounds like somebody flicking a 12" subwoofer with their finger; doesn't always happen; slightly more difficult to hear; commonly heard on concrete borders between driveways/lots and roads Repeated instances of "the boom" at speeds of ~65km/h and ~115km/h [40mph and 70mph]; not heard at speeds greater than 130km/h [80mph]; this is the "buffeting"; annoying as hell; sounds like driving with rear windows down; sounds like double bass from a heavy metal band using a broken amplifier; 30-70Hz range; not all the time, but most of the time; some road surfaces seem to excite it more than others; can be heard more clearly when ear is facing rear of vehicle; fades in and out; towing doesn't seem to change the behavior; happens with seats up, down or folded; no crossbars on roof rails [yet] My Yukon is a stock 2015i short Denali with the only option being the 2nd row bench. No sunroof. 20" wheels with Continentals. 6.2L/8-speed -- Marc1 point

CK106 wheels with black center caps and McGard black lugs. Michelin LTX A/T2 275/55/20. 1.0" front lift kit blocks. There is no part number for the center caps in black that I can find, but I bought mine here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151763016007 I also put a coat of Cquartz UK on the wheels to protect them.1 point
