Ok, so lately I've been noticing the 6.2 stumbling a bit, hesitating, lower mileage - even more than expected for winter - etc. and began getting more concerned about intake valve buildup. 26k miles after all. Decided to Seafoam/CRC. Went with the CRC GDI IVC because #1- it appears to be a product developed specifically for this application instead of generalized top engine cleaning such as Seafoam (which I'll say has served me well in the past and may do just fine) and #2- Anything with a name comprised entirely of acronyms must mean business. Oh. My. God. The difference was simply amazing. I guess the bad behavior had sneaked up on me, but I had no idea just how bad it had gotten. Worth EVERY penny. Even has a $5 mail in rebate right now. I'm gonna do this every 5k miles. Rough idle - gone Off idle stumble - gone Not-so-smooth acceleration - gone Power - it's back Mileage - early reports from ~100mi would suggest absolutely no less than a 4 mpg jump. No joke. Amazed I was expecting a big puke of soot, but nothing. Nada. Not seeing that made me think it hadn't worked, well boy o boy was I wrong! If you have 10k or more on your truck go to Autozone NOW and grab a can. Only takes an hour total and you will thank yourself for it!1 point

Sounds like maybe going to a 275/65 or 60 might be a better fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Shouldn't have to remove Y pipe. Its tight, but the pan will side past. BTDT. Gray muck is grease - gives the particles something to stay put on, helping the magnet do it's job.1 point

Ok Chris, I sent you an e-mail with a question regarding my 2014 LT Z71 and using a 2015 cluster. I took your advice and re-read the FAQ along with every thread back to the beginning of this. Myself and a few others have asked the same question and it hasn't been directly answered. I understand the "same year" needed but technically our truck falls under a 2014.5 so...will the 2015 Denali cluster (new) work in our 2014.5 Silverado with your programming? Please advise. Thanks!1 point

Put an alternator in my uncles 2008 Sierra yesterday. Still all original under the hood, aside from the battery and now the alternator. Not bad for a 5.3 with 385k kms on it.1 point

Looks great. Sounds like a big job to install a light bar with taking off the grill. You got great results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Will be working on a Pigtail harness for this run. I may have two versions. Version 1 - If you already have the 2-Pin mate but it’s not landed into the X201 connector and X51L Fuse, it’ll be a single wire with terminals on each end. Version 2 - If you do not have the 2-Pin mate at all (down in the steering column) then a 2-Pin Connector (to mate up with the clock spring end) and turns to the X51L Fuse Block. Great video! Thanks guys for producing that. Can anyone provide a video or some screen shots of how to run the wire from the fuse block if you have the connector under the dash but it's dead?1 point

Alright got the harness from Phil, thanks again! Put in an order for the console hopefully it'll be here in a week or so. I copied what Frank had so I should be good to go. I'll post some pictures when everything gets put in. Also Frank, does 84199886 have the updated wireless charger?1 point

Here's to your "many threads where it was determined they can't be retrofitted"1 point

I am trying to get through reading this entire thread before asking any question, but I figure maybe i'll save some time by just asking one.... Is there a FAQ? 47 pages of posts, you must get the same questions over and over again. I'm really interested in doing this mod... DL3- towing upgrade. Hopefully i'll be able to contact you to order soon.1 point

I just finished installing my 1A Auto tow mirrors with the help of pgamboa. I can’t say enough good things about his help, he replies within minutes, answers any questions you have and makes this mod super easy. I’m up in Canada. Ordered from 1A, shipped direct to Phil. He did his magic and dropped them off at UPS with the harnesses within a day. 1 week from ordering I have them installed. If you’re thinking about doing the tow mirror mod, work with Phil. Less than 2hrs start to finish installing. The harnesses are OEM or better quality. 100% PnP when you order from Phil. 10/10 for quality, replies, knowledge. This guy is amazing! Hit him up if you’re on the fence about doing it. His harness allowed me to keep reverse tilt, heated, power folding, adjust, etc. Every option as if factory done. And IF you don’t have these options, he can make it happen! Thanks pgamboa!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

yep, gotta admit the scraper is genius. Probably more reliable than the wife. DEFINITELY less mouthy about the situation.1 point

As in BG cleaning products or catch can? If cleaning product, well the CRC was just a few miles down the road at Autozone (very handy) and it seems to be getting good reviews. I'll certainly throw my hat in that ring as it certainly worked well, results were immediately obvious from the moment I cranked her back up. The purpose of the post wasn't to tout CRC. I could care less so long as it worked. My point was to share my experience with intake valve cleaning and the benefits therein.1 point
