Don't know if there is a way for you to do it, but the order guide says the (BTV) remote start is included and only available with WPB Graphite Edition on 2023 1500 Pro. All other trims it shows as standard.

If Silao was a brand new plant with brand new people it might be an issue (same as any other brand new plant) til they got some experience -- but GM has run than plant for nearly 30 years.

1500's are built in mexico, usa and canada. First number of vin identifies assembly country. 1=usa (FtWayne) 2=can (Oshawa) 3= mex (silao) HD's are built at Flint and Oshawa Oshawa was is only building silverado (and I possibly just crew?) Dealer has no way to code an order for a specific plant. Ordered a 2021 1500 denali 3.0 with the longer box -- it came from FtWayne Ordered a 2023 1500 denali 3.0 with the longer box -- it came from Silao There is zero difference in build quality. I don't know if all 1500 plants currently have capability to build all cab/box versions. Typically, low volume versions wouldn't have necessary tooling in all plants.

I could it possibly be getting unlatched in park, but then not drop until it is bumped and jiggled when going down the road? Mine has a bed cover that is currently adjusted tight enough that the gate will not drop without being given a tug to get it started. Just a talking suggestion, but I wonder if this is also possible without a cover. (same cover was installed on my previous truck -- and with it, the gate would unlatch and drop without being given a tug)

Console brake controller is in same spot with both shifters. I kinda like that location, especially when compared with the ones that required using the left hand. I'd still like to have an open bin for gloves, glasses, and 'stuff' to go with the cupholders.

I bought a set of 18" take-off rims (AT4) and installed 3PMSF tires on them for winter use. Gives lots of choice for seasonal / special purpose use tires.

I also shut it off when not in use. Rains sense doesn't eliminate need to operate wipers, but definitely reduces the amount of fussing with the wiper settings when rain is variable.

Order code for radio probably on it (IOS, IOT, IOR, etc) Any dealer can pull/print a build sheet (for your vin) that will list the order codes for everything the truck was born with. Do you run a smartphone? If so you can use googlemaps. Googlemaps will re-use downloaded map information so that it can function even if there is not a cell signal available. Maps can be 'preloaded' to the phone from a wi-fi connection so that phone data doesn't have to be used.

Is rusty water dripping onto the liner from somewhere above? Something rusty sitting in bed and got water running over it? (from truck or accessory or something it carried or something it was parked under)

I have done that too. It makes the console shifter dangerous. I've had one foot on the ground and realized the truck wasn't in park because it was starting to move. (Was only going to be out for a short time, so wasn't shutting it off) Park has always been the shift point after park on every other automatic that uses a shift lever. Like you said, push the button and move the lever to the end - past reverse. We also have an Acadia, with the button shifter. Didn't like it a first, but it's a way better that a console shifter. Kinda thought that's what the LD's would get when they went away from the column shift.

Give me a console with the column shifter -- same as the refreshed HDs are getting. I've give the console shift a trial and I still DETEST it. I drove GM HD's for about 15 or so years, but no longer need a HD. Maybe someone can figure out what is necessary to put the HD uplevel column shifter system into the LD truck?? 2024 HD Denali

7500 miles is the recommended service/inspections interval for other stuff on the truck Manual suggests that if truck sees 'severe service', the OLM might recommend the oil change as early as 7500 miles.

Seems it depends on when the truck was built. Not sure when it was changed, but GM's used to be push and release lock, then push and hold (4 sec) the start button. I'd guess it got changed with the refresh. '21 sierra manual says Starting the Engine Using Remote Start 1. Press and release 'Lock'. 2. Immediately press and hold 'start' until the turn signal lamps flash or for at least four seconds. '23 sierra manual says Starting the Engine Using Remote Start Press 'Start' twice on the remote key. The turn signal lamps will flash. The lamps flash to confirm the request to remote start the vehicle has been received.

I was thinking about adding one. Where did you find that info? Had been considering at order time too -- it's listed in the order guide without any notes about restriction. It's LPO (dealer installed), even if factory ordered so decided to wait.
