  1. You better get out on the nose and look over when you are at speed..lol. I fairly sure they only close at speed.
  2. 20's would have never done this. Destroyed two that cost 3K to replace on my 16 Sierra I'm getting new summer rims for my 2018 Silverodo but staying with the stock rim size. The 20's ride better and I don't have to worry about the curbs. Like other stated way more tire choices. You can buy top of the line tires for the 20's for less then anything that fits the 22 inch rims.
  3. There is the possibility that the AFM lifter is starting to fail. This is the code everyone gets when one starts to go. You seemed to have eliminated the other possibilities.
  4. It may not be locked but sticking so it’s letting cylinder pressure drop. They don’t always collapse. If it is sticking it will eventually get stuck and collapse.
  5. Cylinder 7 is an AFM cylinder so most likely a lifter failure.
  6. My dealer installed one leaked real bad but when I looked they set it to far forward. So i had to adjust it. Now it's back to a normal cover leak just a few drops here and there.
  7. The parts for the recall are all allocated to Canada to answer the recall so hence a US back order. I'm really surprised the US GOV. never did the same recall... GM should step up and just issue the recall in the US as well. Of course since the did the recall on mine it's had a rattle in the back behind the panel.
  8. I'll take a mechanical locker over and electric solenoid or air system or valve pushing something in place any day. It's simple and it works that's why they have stuck with it.
  9. There working on mine right now.
  10. Mines in getting the Canadian Recall work done right now... Going by the recall work they are really just putting a band-aid on it. Bulking things up so there is less of a chance of melting if it does over heat. The reality of it is don't open the back window in the rain ever and keep the metal contacts on the slider clean and it will never over heat. That's the point of resistance causing things to over heat.
  11. Get your Camera's out and shoot videos if anything happens. That tosses their excuse of well it's not doing it now out the door. They will look allot harder when you have the proof. They will also forward the videos the GM engineers.
  12. Well this is the fix GM has decided to do. GM Recall #: N192220470 Transport Canada Recall #: 19988 Date Issued: Jun 27, 2019 Recall Title: Power Sliding Rear Window Defroster Failures (Canada Only) Recall Description: General Motors has approved a safety recall in Canada for certain 2014-2019 model year Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra vehicles equipped with a power sliding rear window (RPO A48). In some of these vehicles, areas of high electric resistance on the rear defroster circuit, caused, in part, by mechanical stress from opening and closing the rear power window, intrusion of debris, and use of the rear defroster may, over time, generate heat which could melt the areas surrounding the circuit. In rare instances, this heat could cause a non-propagating fire, increasing the risk of property damage or injury. Safety Risk Description: In some of these vehicles, areas of high electric resistance on the rear defroster circuit, caused, in part, by mechanical stress from opening and closing the rear power window, intrusion of debris, and use of the rear defroster may, over time, generate heat which could melt the areas surrounding the circuit. Repair Description: Dealers will replace the buss bar covers and the contact cover, and for certain vehicles, will reprogram the HVAC calibration to disable the rear defroster from automatically turning on at keyed start. Please note that the rear defroster will automatically turn on during remote start or by pushing the manual button and is not affected by this calibration. If the rear window or sliding glass assembly appears damaged due to an occurrence of high electrical resistance on the rear defroster circuit, they will also be replaced.
  13. You will need to get the codes read off and see what it complained about. Most likely a miss fire. The V4 will disable if your have cylinders reporting a miss fire. My 2016 did the same thing when I had CEL but it was caused from washing the top end with GDI intake cleaner. The truck didn't go back to V4 until after I cleared the codes. I'm not sure if it will reset after a certain amount of time on it's own.
  14. The 2015 will expire next year. My 2018 only came with 3 months.
  15. Search cam phaser failure Ford or Ram. The governments want fuel efficient engines. This is just how it is. They use high tech solutions this adds parts and increase the potential for issue.
  16. They are just Profit machines today...
  17. My 1991 Standard Cab fully loaded Silverado new $18,850 taxes included. The new one TOO MUCH!!!!!!!
  18. Three times back to the dealer sorry I would be barking at them to replace the whole transmission by now. Funny how dealers are my dealer would have probably went after GM to replace is on tear down # 2.
  19. I'd prefer them dumb the trucks down as they are not luxury cars and lower the prices. The prices are getting to high and 70K is hard to swallow. 80K or 90 K. Nope this boys out or will just buy used.
  20. Of course you paint the calipers when you service the brakes.
  21. There is no magic sensor for this it's just the computer guesstimating based off of usage. It's more of a ploy to get you to bring your truck in for service. AND I FULLY TRUST THEY WOULD NEVER CHANGE MY PADS EVEN IF THEY WERE STILL GOOD. even when the DIC said they were out. Trust me take the wheel off and give the pads an eyeballing.. Everything they are doing is to get owners and outside shops to stop working on their vehicles.
  22. Yes the fuel pumps building the pressure back up.
  23. The 2018 have Pump - 12669488 it replaces part numbers12654013, 12659655, 12660004, 12662552. I suspect they fixed whatever was causing the issue with the old pumps so the 2018 are not in the extended warranty.
  24. Many people didn't like how hard the K2 seats were. I suspect they put softer foam in the new trucks and it may be giving more and now you feel the internal parts as it compresses. Just a theory
  25. I don't know why they don't put some sealer on the inside of that like the did on all of the older vehicles just extra protection..
