  1. Did you have any type of rust proofing done. This sometimes actually clogs the drains and is actually worse for the metal over time. Try blowing air into the door vents to see if that does anything. As other said it may be another area you are hearing but if you blow air in and get a rush of water they may be clogged. Pine needles love to work there way in through the mouldings.
  2. Yes these motors hate winter gas mix. Plus I take the pretty rims and wheels off and put on the stockers with Duratrac's. So I see a bigger drop yet.
  3. Don't get confused between 4Auto and 4 hi and lo. 4Auto uses slip clutches to function so they will never bind up. 4 hi and 4 low can always bind up an click given the right conditions. I only use 4 hi and low if I'm on a surface that can slide the tires if not it's auto.
  4. Try switching the coil pack and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder.. You are at the mileage when thy can start to go. Actually that would have been the first thing I checked for a miss fire.
  5. I would do a quick check and make sure something didn't get messed up when the work was done. Check the O2 Sensors make sure a wire didn't get caught or something. Especially if it went on an doff the lift. Getting the code read might narrow things down as well..
  6. The manufactures simply do not want you adding fluid. It's their opinion they've had to change transmissions under warranty from incorrect fluids or destructive additives. That's it in a nut shell. Of course all manufactures dream is to have everyone 100% dependant on them for service so this is another reason. Thus the total lockout on all the new Control modules coming out.
  7. The entire thing is a joke. They are just shifting one problem from now to a new type of future problem. Plus unless someone comes up with some better idea's in the future they do NOT have enough natural resources for everything to go electric. They will simply not be able to supply enough batteries for millions and millions of vehicles. They already all know this to but they all push ahead. Hydrogen was the smart bet but honestly I think they can make more $$$$ from electric.
  8. It will be under the hood in the fuse block.
  9. From a safety prospective 6 ton jack stands. It's better to over do it. From a practical approach the 6 ton jack stands are bigger and reach up higher so they are better for lifting a 4x4 with the off road package. For oil changes or general things I put the fronts up on on 12,000lbs wide ramps then the 6 ton under the rear axles. The truck is as stable in this configuration as it is sitting on the ground.
  10. There is one bad part to the Range device. When you use then it prevents the AFM from working so the lifters never change their state. So now they my be stiff and not fully functioning. Try changing the oil and going for good long ride and see if it clears up. The issue is when they fail the computers keep working as if it's in V4 mode so it may be dumping fuel into the cylinder but not sending the spark so the fuel now blows past the sensors and triggers a Cell. This may be why it goes back to working normal when the Range is back in. These AFM Lifters either collapse or get stuck in place.
  11. What others said check and or replace the ground wires. I may also be time for a battery the computers in all of the newer cars just go crazy if they are not getting blasted with power all of the time.
  12. I'm betting it's a wireless programming interface they use in the factory on the assembly line and someone forgot to pull it.
  13. My 2016 did it from time to time. Unplugging the battery so it reset seemed to be the only thing to keep if from happening. I would do that and it would be fine for months and months.
  14. Check the Fin antenna for the Sat. It may be running down the headliner and pillar.
  15. I put on a set of Replic wheels for my summer tires... Have the Duratrac's on the OEM rims for the fall and winter now.
  16. I've been using GDI IVD™ Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner at every oil change and no idle issues ever. This included the other direct injection engine like the 3.6 with 80K on it in the Impala that my mother brought to me complaining about the idle I cleared it up with the CDR. It may take a few treatments to wash the valves off.
  17. Instead of replacing the starters maybe they should figure what's shorting them out. What happens when you hit water and splash it up under there... I've had my truck in water right to the base of the floor... because I get out and make sure I will not sink my truck ha ha..
  18. They simply do not have enough range pulling heavy loads. They may say 400 miles but pulling will be way less. Get my trailer half way up north for a camping trip stop and take however long it will be to re-charge, really a 8 hour trip now takes all day and I get there in the Dark. GM has a hydrogen pickup right now that's not available to the public. It's so silly everyone humping electric. Especially when I live in the Province in Canada with the highest hydro rates in the entire world.
  19. Report it to the dealer and see of they have an update available to fix this. They had this same issue on the 2014 1500's It took a flash to correct it.
  20. Check all of the grounds.. mainly the battery ground. This is a common issue with these trucks after a few years.
  21. All I know if you remove the speed limiter then around 115MPH the driveshafts blow apart.
  22. The make lift assist running boards. Way better then changing the truck over.
  23. I was going to put it all on my 2018 then saw the new wireless pump so put it all on hold ha ha.. All though I may do what Ezekiel2517 has done and just wait out the pump.
  24. GM's normal is to grab any fire vehicle and replace it so they don't have to report the fire. I'm actually surprised they haven't done this already.
