  1. 1967-1971 simple years, clean looking 1989-1992 body style is classic 1999-2004 beginning LS years, not too much tech on-board
  2. my phone will not work in the desert or deep in the woods or top of the mountains, hence i like to figure out how to activate the GPS with out a sub
  3. just curious but if you have a failing vac pump, and its making noise, dose this mean its tearing it's self apart and causing metal debris to get injested into the engine?
  4. is this a real GM part?
  5. do you have the stock 6.2 air intake system?
  6. what's the vapor point of synthetic oil, and whats the temp of your oil? is the oil vapor gasifying and by-passing the catch can and condensing anyway in the manifold??? Research time!
  7. you right it will..
  8. wow 220Amp alternator. can you weld with that thing?? what do you mean "Decoupled"?
  9. you still have the packaging with a part number?
  10. i like to watch your posting for a year and see what issues crop up.. good point on the high temp vapor by-passing the catch can.. seems they need to go back and design in a condenser before the vapor can drop out into liquid from a gas. I have installed an exhaust crank vent system (ecv) lol....on a truck once. pretty easy to install except for the welding of the bungs into the exhaust.. i wonder what grumpybear thinks of this ?hehe
  11. do it, your the guinee pig.. or nitrous , simple and cheap
  12. i think thats to activate the cargo light while in reverse
  13. probably better off with a new set of ring gears if your towing with the 5.3, i recommend the 3.75-4.10 gears way more torque out put on the 5.3 vs the economy gears. this is the easiest of all swaps. also tuning the tcm for less down shifts on the stock trans. factory is ridiculous on thier shifting and over revving. its all based on emmisions and not usable torque.
  14. i dont see why you need a different ecu. mechanically identical engines, besides the different displacements and maybe forged internals. so much cheaper to just turbo the 5.3
  15. i'm still scouring the sites search function for this, would like to have this feature anyways
  16. is there a specific posting for this mod? this has been driving me crazy,
  17. i found I am a little bit of all 3 types..
  18. interesting , I will examine my oem unit a bit closer. thanks Jim
  19. that's what i was thinking , intermittant sometimes it works sometimes not so much.. lol probably another salesman selling junk to the masses
  20. i wonder if the duramax diesel radiator would fit?
  21. so i stumbled across this video on some dude saying how great this MAF is, but why is is different from OEM? are we exceeding our MAF sensor limitations in the stock setup? Any ideas how the JEt MAF out performs the oem function in the ECU... please enlighten me..
  22. part numbers for that bad boy?
  23. all my chevy shakes , seemed to go away went i swapped out the cheapo 20" rims and installed a set of take offs from a tahoe z71
  24. yeah , maybe you can fabricate a grill cover , and powder coat it black so it simulates the look of the plastic lower cowling but its still full flow venting to let the heat out
