Leveled 2016 silverado with 33s
TXGREEK replied to BigMikeZ71's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Same as what my SLT came with, had them swap for 20’s for more cushion and rim protection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

My truck had 22’s (not a fan of) on it w Bridgestone AT’s when it came in off the truck, had them replace with 20’s in order to have more tire than metal for ride purposes and accidentally brushing a curb or two. Once I did the level I put on the 275x60’s cause UCA’s rubbing. Ordered the Fuel wheels 20X9 with +18 slapped on the KO2’s 275/60/20 and then noticed rougher ride. Special ordered Fox coil overs and Fox rears waiting to install when I’ve got the day to kill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Looks good, I leveled first then put on 275/60’s versus 55’s making it 33’s” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Forgot to mention that it only rubs hard on full locks, thought ok, I’ll deal with it until I started getting looks in the parking lot and rubbed off the black paint on the UCA’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I have a 2018 SLT with 20X9, rubbed hard on the UCA’s as soon as I did just a 2 1/4” level in order to put on just 275/60/20 BFG KO2’s. Apparently, seems that the geometry changed a bit once GM started using stamped steel versus the original aluminum UCA’s in the 2016-2018 models. I ended up custom ordering new 20/9 fuel wheels with a +18 on them[emoji1305] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

It happens, my 16 Yukon had both struts go out in less than 20K miles, switched to bilstein 5100’s, better ride and steering. It’s unfortunate but it is what it is, all factory customer responsibility items should be changed out to quality named brand parts ASAP giving you complete confidence and less stress driving your vehicle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Perfect decision keeping 17’s if you off-road, hill descent is awesome especially if you’re towing, the rancho’s are garbage and highly recommend either bilstein 5100’s or Fox coil overs if you want more responsive performance. Great idea putting on your own skid plates especially up front replacing the factory plastic one. In addition, Z71 package is much more than badging and all discussed, there’s additional badging inside and out, instrument panels as well as interior trim etc and all for what your skid plates cost you. In private consumer sales, the Z71 package out sells all packages combined. Enjoy your new truck and be safe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is the transmission dipstick For my 5.3 Yukon and for my 6.2 I’ll have to ask my mechanic. I think he used a special tube underneath while engine was running, I’ll ask Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Ok, my guy said March and April 2016 is when GM started using Stamped Steel Control Arms. ReadyLIFT has a video on YouTube using their new control arms along with spacers for the 2016-2018 model 1500’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

One of my sponsors own a Chevy and a GMC dealership, educated me on making sure not to go larger than a 2 - 2 1/2” level or else GM will void the suspension warranty. Living in the city mine rubbed so bad the tires rubbed the paint off the UCA’s less than a month plus it was embarrassing people looking at me and my truck cause of the horrible noise it made while rubbing lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

That’s why they fit, 2017 - 2018 have different UCA’s which create different geometric tolerances when leveled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I don’t agree, I put 275/60/20 BFG KO2’s on my stock 20’s and had horrible rub on both left and right UCA’s causing me to buy new wheels with plus 18 offset. Btw, my truck is 2018 which I’ve heard 2017-2018 have new designed stamped versions of upper control Arms (UCA’s). My neighbor has a 14 and put on Cooper AT3’s 285/55/20’s with no rub but remember his is 2014 model with completely different UCA’s. IMO, don’t do it unless you’re ready to invest in new offset wheels. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Just added about half the jug you see there. Go on their website and see for yourself, amazing stuff. My buddy has a 1985 Volvo that ran like [emoji90] with constant transmission issues until I told him to try it out, three years later still good. I use the fuel treatment every other fuel tank cause GM stopped with the fuel filter and uses the one in fuel tank now. Quick story: my wifes 2016 Yukon with 5.3 had a rough idle at 12K miles, dealership said that’s from bad fuel and needing $350 CleanUp (BS) which wasn’t part of warranty so I took it home added Lucas fuel treatment and the rest is history, 30K on it now and just got back from a 4K road trip and used Lucas fuel treatment every other tank during trip, true story! Lucas products are AWESOME! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I’ve got approx 6K on mine and it’s all good and maybe because I added Lucas transmission additive as soon as I got it home new from the dealership Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Before with Stock 20” wheels with KO2’s after new wheels with KO2’s. I’m sooooo glad I put on the new wheels, look so much better color contrast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
