  1. If only this were as easy as wishing GM would replace the known defective A/C Condensers and Vacuum Pumps on our earlier K2's. They would rather have two or 3 techs spend a day or more with tubes of silicone to repair rather than install a new rear window.
  2. Honestly the aftermarket makes a better condenser than the GM branded unit. Even the assistance program cannot touch the lower cost of replacing it yourself Funny how they slap a piece of aluminized tape in the upper right corner and call it a fix.
  3. For the same reason some with diesel engines like "rollin coal"
  4. 90s Pontiacs were more Orange like some of the Nissan Maxima/Altima Models. I prefer the Red in my Sierra over the blue. Not as distracting at night. T1 trucks are basically white lit backgrounds.
  5. The OEM options for AT4 are the 18" as in your profile picture, or the 20" option here:
  6. Did someone mention "Whistle" ????
  7. Great article on " Do Tonneau Covers improve MPG". I remember seeing this on Mythbusters years back. Mythbusters did prove that windows up A/C on did yield Slightly higher MPGs vs A/C off and windows down, simply due to drag differences. https://autosneed.com/do-tonneau-covers-really-save-gas/
  8. Go to Page 144 of this thread to see the 6112 review by Jullian is not my name
  9. "ALL GM TRUCKS ARE CREATED EQUAL...... IT'S YOUR DEALER THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE, AND THAT'S THE TRUTH ! "
  10. Yours (white) is obviously correct. The black truck pictured clearly is dented in and scraped. I would call BS and find a new dealer !
  11. For all of the posters here........ an interesting find coming from a Former Ford Guy regarding truck shaking problems : MrBullz New Member Member 1 2 posts Name:Austin Location:Huntsville AL Drives:2019 GMC Silverado SLE Report post Posted 1 minute ago Long story short, I bought a brand new 18 last September and it was bought back after spending 4 months at the dealership with a problem they couldn't diagnose. It would shake violently with a trailer hooked to it. After receiving a replacement it vibrated so bad that the dash shook. The same dealer told me it was a "normal characteristic" and talked to me like i was a complete idiot. That was the final straw. Drove it directly to GMC and they hooked me up with a decent deal and the incentives negated the negative equity. Much better truck for the same money. Smoother transmission, smoother ride and comparable power. I miss the immediate power from the turbos but comfort makes it work out just fine.
  12. All i can say is my Air is colder than it has ever been since day 1, so I am actually very happy about the condenser choking! LOL I think some Automakers skimp on the A/C charge somewhat to save every penny they can at the time of production.
  13. It is nice to hear of someone jumping ship from the "Best Selling Vehicle in America" !
  14. Atmospheric conditions play a huge role in MPG especially with our trucks. Another note to mention is the switch over from Winter Blend Fuels. Maybe you recently filled up at a station that had leftover or last remaining winter blend fuel before the summer switch. That will take away at least a couple MGPs.
  15. I also experienced this on the cooler line connections. Took a little friendly persuasion until the flute was seated enough for the clips to go back on. This was my most challenging aspect of the swap. It was all worth it for the ice cold air I have now.
  16. The Ranchos are most likely the culprit for your floating test drive feedback. I have been and always will be against them. They are pogo sticks. The rebound is too high and compression too low. When news of the AT4 and TrailBoss packages came out featuring the Ranchos, I cringed. GM surely could have offered something a bit better from the factory on a 60K plus "Off Road" packaged truck. Gone are the days when the GM Z71 packages came with Bilstein Absorbers.
  17. Can the slow leaking not lead to a blowout? Personally I feel the seepage is a precursor to disaster.
  18. I think i mentioned this earlier in the thread...... The K2 trucks also have a history with the lines leaking due to bad crimps. Mine were replaced under warranty last year.
  19. I think you have this backwards. The '14 and '15 trucks came with the 5yr/100k powertrain. This is what I have. Then GM switched to 5yr/60k
  20. Sounds like a dealership service department response
