    Are you under the 72K warranty requirement ? 6 years or 72K Should be 7 year 100K if you ask me. Especially for those of us early owners who just received notice about a month ago.

    The pump has been updated from the old version. So far I have not heard of a second failure with the revised unit.

    The only time mine ever chirped was switching from V4 to V8. It was a Single Chirp and could happen at any speed. This noise in the video comes on after some time and if you are on the gas the flapper will be open as the extra exhaust gas force keeps it open under V8 and throttle.

    I would highly suspect that the Toyota boys are venturing more Off-Road with their 6112 setups vs 5100s.

    You could always prop it up in the back yard against some straw bales and use it for target practice

    Unfortunately it is not a safety issue so there will be no recall. Chalk it up to poor engineering and manufacturing. ALL of the Early trucks/Suv's with bad Vacuum Pumps should be recalled and repaired 100% free to the customer, IMHO.

    I think 6112's would benefit the true Off-Roader for the extra cost. Unless you just want the premium Coil-Over look. Sounds like there is not a night and day between the two daily driving on the street. Maybe other reports in the future will shed some more light on major differences.

    Aside from the bad '14- Late '15 GM truck and full size Suv Radiators, prepare to replace your A/C Condenser as well. They are also defective in the same models

    I will say Amen if that is the only issue after replacing the entire frame! Why was your frame replaced? Accident or severe rust ?

    These clips were a PITA to get re-seated when I installed a new AC Condenser. Key was to get the cooler line piping all the way in so the clips could properly set all the way in. Did you replace your condenser at some point?

    There are not many smooth roads here in Missouri or over in Kansas other than the major highways. Bottom line is if you live here an 18" Wheel/Tire combo is best at soaking up the uneven terrain, potholes and endless curbs. 22's may be fine out on the highways as long as the pressure is lower.

    So it sounds like purchasing a T1 platform GM truck negates what most of us K2 owners believe and have experienced where More sidewall rubber ( Smaller Wheel Diameter ) creates a better more cushioned ride compared to Less sidewall rubber ( Larger Wheel Diameter). I have owned more than 10 trucks in 20 years and can say without a doubt that a 16-18 " wheel and tire produces a far better ride over a 20"-22" wheel and tire. Not doubting any of you T1 owners who are posting opposite results but experience and history are what they are.

    It's all good BPVTB. I did correct myself or further explained the AFM/DFM after I made the 1st post. Honestly it is somewhat confusing, especially discussing LD trucks for 2019 and T1's LOL Bottom line is I am sure some of you with DFM will be pumped about the Disabler once it is released.

    I do not intend to argue but nowhere in the OP's comment does it mention AFM. Inquiring about a disable device for a 2019 truck is a loose statement. 2019 includes the LD K2 truck platform and the brand new T1 platform. Lower trim levels on T1 have AFM same as K2. Upper Trims of T1 have DFM. Anyone confused yet? There are currently AFM disablers available for K2 which will work for the 2019 LD K2 gennylight do you have a 2019 LD or T1 truck with DFM ? I assume you have DFM because you posted in this DFM disabling thread:

    I do not see anything wrong with purchasing the 5100 set on Ebay, as long as the seller is reputable.

    $1300 is highway robbery for a $200 repair. I can see why some refer to them as stealerships! LOL It's just amazing how one dealer charges $1300 and the other one across town only takes $795 out of your pocket. Basically, they can charge what they want.

    Looks great. The T1 Silverado is in my opinion by far the best looking lifted truck out there. 2019 RAM looks funny lifted and unfortunately, so does the T1 Sierra due to the angled wheel openings.

    Another great find! I watch the show when certain builds interest me. I do miss Ed China however. With all of the cars in the world.... if I could choose 1 no matter what the cost it would be a fully restored 1972 Chevrolet K10 or 20 Cheyenne Super long bed with the 454. Black on Black. Slight lift probably on 35's Call me crazy but for some reason i personally believe this is the best looking truck ever produced. Someday! Once the kids have graduated from college LOL

    Many members here do not have a catch can and are well over 100K on their non K2 trucks without issues. No disrespect to those of you that run a catch can and i encourage anyone to follow with what makes them the most content, but the question remains. If this carbon buildup is such a problem long term why do automakers not include an Oem engineered Catch Can setup from the factory? Is it an extra cost issue or that engineers feel a catch can is not a crucial component to the longevity of an engine?

    So they can market them separately and increase the price of the AT4 kit over the Trail Boss version since the GMC is " Professional Grade "
