  1. Ah, it's good to see the part was revised.
  2. Interesting cover the Sentry CT is. I've never seen a cover constructed like that before. It's a mighty big roll for a 6.5ft bed, but I can see the appeal.
  3. I like how this paint looks in the sunlight. Stone Blue Metallic in sunlight by Ryan Jakob, on Flickr
  4. Gorgeous photo of a sharp looking truck. Well done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I installed my Truxedo LoPro today. Generated from my Apple iPhone using tools.sportscard.trade Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. After much debate, and patience, I finally made a purchase! After casually browsing listings since I got my truck in September, I finally found a 2 week old Truxedo LoPro for an excellent price on the local Kijiji classifieds. My local retailer wanted over $750 CAD (installed) after tax. I paid $300 CAD. I'm very happy I could get the cover I wanted, for a price I was willing to pay. I hope to get it installed soon, maybe this weekend, along with my winter tires. It's snowing right now, so it will be good to be able to keep my gear covered.
  7. I've been hearing a fair bit about this engine lately. I suppose maybe I'm warming up to the idea a bit. My current feeling is, if you crammed it down my throat, I probably would not be disappointed. But, if you give me the choice, I'll choose the 5.3.
  8. I have not been following the development of the HDs at all, but based on what I see here, I love it. It looks to be the best looking GM HD in a long time. I really like the wheel well shape.
  9. I picked up some lightly used Husky floor mats for a fair price. Much better coverage than the basic stock floor mats. I’m very happy with the fit and coverage. Generated from my Apple iPhone using tools.sportscard.trade Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Nice truck 18 Elevation. Kurt, I really like your grille photoshop. I think it looks great. I would not do the red tow hooks though. Nice blade KJS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Congratulations on you new truck. My 2018 is my first brand new vehicle as well. I thought I'd always buy used, but the financing options offered made a new truck work best for me at the time of purchase.
  12. I've used CAA coverage to get two tows this year on my wife's car. I see it as mostly paying for piece of mind, but I don't hesitate to use the benefits when they are helpful. First tow was after an object crashed into the windshield and made a mess of cracks right in the driver's view. I would have drove it, but my wife did not feel safe with it, so I had it towed. Second time was a battery + alternator failure, that resulted in the car not running well, losing power steering, etc.
  13. Yup, makes sense. It's insane how fast guys in tire shops are trying to hustle during the busy winter tire changeover season. I don't have all the skills, time, patience, tools, or space to do too much of my own repair work, but I at least do my own oil and tire changes.
  14. I read a tip once. Use a small pair of vice grips to crimp the blown brake line closed / plugged. Re-fill reservoir. Drive with three wheel braking to repair shop. Fortunately, I've never had to try it myself yet, and find out how well it works. Even if it does work, driving without a front brake on one side would not be great in winter conditions.

  16. Sometimes, that's easier said than done. Of the last 6 shops I've tried. 1. After replacing hub, ABS sensor wire was not routed properly, causing ABS failure. 2. Charged obscene prices for parts. 3. Took two return trips to properly balance my tires. 4. Did not torque wheel nuts, causing my wheel to almost fall off while towing down the highway (at least they admitted their mistake) 5. Did not tighten hose clamp, causing an air hose to blow off, causing check engine light and poor performance. 6. Left dirt / grease all over the fabric in my door panel.
  17. A little earlier than usual this year.... I still have the summer tires on my wife's Countryman, and that ain't good. I gave her my truck for tonight so I can put her winter tires on while she works her afternoon shift. Those summer tires offer almost zero braking traction in the snow. You pretty much have to coast to a stop. lol
  18. Yes, that would be nice, if the driver could choose. V4 mode does not bother me at all on the highway, when I'm using cruise control. I like to save fuel on long trips. I don't desire to delete AFM entirely, it would just be nice to choose when it can activate.
  19. You sir, made me smile with that one.
  20. I'm pretty sure when in L6, my 2018 6 speed still goes into V4 in any gear it wants. It definitely never goes into V4 when in L5.
  21. It's frustrating when you have a want, and cash in hand, but nobody to take it, eh? For $70k though, you could probably pay somebody to do a Denali conversion of sorts, and get most of the Denali Features, or at least get a 6.2L swapped under the hood.
  22. Historically, the Silverado outsells the Sierra by near a 3:1 ratio, so I would not expect to see more T1 Sierras than Silverados. I would be interested to learn why buyers chose one over the other. While I'm sure exterior styling is a leading factor, I suspect other factors come into play as well.
  23. I have a short in town commute. I usually put my 6 speed in L5 for it. The AFM does not bother me on the highway much, but I’m not a big fan of it for city driving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Picked up some free red oak on the way to my father-in-law’s place. I took all I could fit. Generated from my Apple iPhone using tools.sportscard.trade Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. You think 1mm offset is going to make all the difference? LoL. What am I missing here? I’m particularly interested, because I am going to try and fit the same size wheel and tire. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
