I've had previous vehicles do that before. I've cleaned them up and it never really came back in the time I owned them. If that was my truck I would do the same thing, clean it up and see if it ever comes back. The less people that touch my stuff the better.

The 2014-2016 uses a E92 computer and the 2017-2018 uses a E92A but that isn't going to matter here. The older computer shouldn't have been used in the first place. There are other differences on some sensors from early to later years though. Like parts of the high pressure fuel system.

No cons here, did exactly what is needed. We are just making it like the 6L80e's in the previous body trucks, they never had a thermostat in those and never had problems. There is another thread going on about this today too.

They would never know you did it, so it couldn't void anything. For what it's worth, this is a great thing to do in my opinion. I went to the track last weekend with my truck, it was well over 85 degrees with +80% humidity, that nasty wet hot feeling. The drive there my temps got to 150ish on the open road, let my truck cool off while the track was getting ready. Once the lanes opened I got about 12 runs down the track in about 90 minutes, I hot lapped it back to back many times. It took 4-5 passes for me to even breach 190 degrees and all the runs after that the temps stayed under 196 just beating on it. I left the track and the temps still above 190, within 10 miles it was back down to 165. There is no way it would have ever done that with the thermostat still installed.

Well one of those screens may have multiple things to view when you push the button. That's the only way I can think out. Or just pull out the owners manual to see how it functions.

Does the button you push also twist? I know on some vehicles you twist the knob to jump between different functions of the screen.

Reduced Engine Power should trip some sort of fault, then you can diag the problem from there.

You don't really reset anything, doesn't exactly work like clicking a button. Make is the reason for wanting to "reset" the timing? Other than making sure the mechanical parts are working and installed right, the timing is controlled by the computer.

You'd need to get hub centric rings to take of the space. You can not have the rims be centered by the lug nuts, the hub bore needs to center on the hub of the vehicle.

The picture make them look bigger than 235/80's that's for sure but if they are mud tires that are really heavy that is still hurting things some.
