I do know that the dwell settings for the coils are different in the calibration. If you are asking me here, it's not worth changing them. I've worked on many LS engines in the past and I've rarely ever ran into a coil issue. If they work now, they should be just fine.

Just because AFM is turned off doesn't stop the fact that all those parts are still installed in the engine. A lifter failure can still happen. Pull the plug and check it out. See if it's covered in stuff. White smoke is typically coolant, so hopefully it's not a head gasket.

Looks level to me. The tape measure will tell the truth.

I have 105,000 miles on my 2016 CC 5.3/6L80e and literally nothing has really gone wrong. It had a stuck thermostat this past winter and that was it. I didn't drive all these miles but I saw all the service records from the dealer and other shops before buying it. I beat on it daily, I have some mechanical sympathy but I put this truck through it's paces all the time. To me it's the people that baby their vehicles are the ones that have problems with them. I'm not jumping it over curbs or hitting the trails with it, just driving it like a 5,500lbs sports car sometimes lol. It's got a intake, cat back system, E85 conversion, did the trans cooler thermostat mod and it's tuned by myself. It's been a turn key and go every day.

If the frames are like the K2 trucks you may need to cut the rear bump stop bracket off the frame so you don't bottom out.

What printer do you have? (sorry if I missed that). I'm looking at the Ender 3 Pro printer for just a newbie unit.

They should be really similar. You still probably want 50-55 at idle and a little more under load. They are usually on a 58psi system. I don't have the exact spec for your truck though.

Yup, no external regulator. You can still check the fuel pressure on the fuel rail though.

The suburban is not that much heavier than a crew cab standard bed Silverado/Sierra, so there isn't much added weight compared to those. The stress on the parts is going to be mostly the same. The SUV frame/chassis setup is going to be far better than the leaf springs on the trucks though, so it should put the power down to the ground better. Both the 6 speed and 8 speed transmission can handle the power pretty well. The transmission tune to me is the key to making it act right. I have no idea if the whipple kits come with engine and transmission changes in the calibration or if it's just engine changes to run the supercharger.

There are always some trucks that don't run as smooth, that can be why people hate it and turn it off. If I get the same freeway mileage with it off, why would I keep it on? My city gas mileage is complete garbage because of the short trips and AFM wouldn't have made it any better. Over 8,500 miles that I've put on it the avg mpg is 12.3. Even a few days ago I was doing some running around, not even trying for fuel mileage just bumming down at 60mph on the freeway, got 24-25mpg over about 100 miles with no AFM on a 5.3 with E30 in the tank too. All this really is, is a personal preference. Even with it off the same failures can happen with the parts. Mileage may or may not suffer and for some they way the vehicle drives will be noticeable.

The taxes and income for cities is something I think about too. Tons of cities are already begging for money from people that live there. They ask (here atleast) every year it seems like for tax increases because they need this or need that because they are terrible at managing money. It's like they take it, spend some and flush the rest down the toilet and ask for more the next year because somehow they ran out of money in the snap of the finger. Now that many business are closed and for many they will never open again, some of these cities will feel the brunt of having nothing to get taxes from and things will begin to crumble in some area's. Yet it's still okay to shop with a few hundred people but going to smaller places with less is considered a death sentence. Eating on a patio or in a place where the next family is 20 feet away with 50% capacity is still unsafe but walking into walmart with full parking lots is safe. I love our governor and his posse on their thought process, I'm sure this can be echoed by many here. They let most businesses this past Monday open but said if you own a gym, restaurant, salon and a few other can't. They won't even give a date and they have to wait until at least June 1st before any word on the matter. What makes you think in 2 more weeks that things will be any different?? Do they think in two weeks it would be anymore safe than yesterday?? As if these places closed for 2 month don't already have a specific plan of rules they are going to follow so they can open safely but nah you need more time to be broke and maybe fold because bills don't just pay themselves. And with no set date in mind how can places even begin to plan about ordering stock so they can serve people. Some foods can't just be kept, beer doesn't just fall from the sky, freezers are empty and the fairy doesn't come in at night to fill it up. If you ask me, there are too many people in power that want to be important instead of being useful.

It's not just the density altitude that hurts you, it's those freaking boat anchors you have for rims/tires. The rolling mass that was added to those trucks hurts things more than you think. I have a weird way to get mine off the line that normally works good. If I'm at a stop I will use both my feet on the pedals using the brake just enough to hold the truck still. Then I feather the throttle on slightly to give about 1,000rpm, let off the throttle, release the brake pedal and mash the throttle all in a quick snap like that. If the road it good it will get traction or I have to be at 80% throttle to slow wheel spin for a 1 second. It's easy to upset the truck and just burn rubber all the way through first gear on stock tires. Holding the brake and trying to get up on the stall converter will just make it feel like it bogs down off the line and takes 2 seconds to come back into power.

I noticed it on my truck and my parents truck. They are both 2016's but the flapper stuff is all the same. I have an aftermarket exhaust now so that's all gone.

Of course some do but you could assume maybe some don't. Say you didn't have life insurance and just health insurance, to me it's easy to lie about being a smoker. A doctor and lie detector test isn't in the room with you when you look at those papers or computer screen. A smoker could just say no they don't smoke and end up saving money. Doing that would be at their own risk and I'd think some would do it. My work has that question and if you say no you get a slight discount, so instead of $90 per pay check it's $65. A vise grips with some rubber hose on the ends would work if you can get it to grab on to the shock piston through the coil spring. Then brap it down with an impact gun.

Because it's not blown up into the media?? What's the avg up to now, like 7,000-8,000 death per day in the US from various causes. We don't know how much more or less that avg has changes because there are less deaths from work related causes, car crashes etc etc. But on the other hand we also don't know how many deaths could have been prevented as this country shifted everything towards covid patients. On the topic of smoking. If you smoked, you knew what you were doing to yourself. People I know never argue about people that die from it, that's their own damn fault. We just argue about why someone that did that to themselves doesn't have to pay a higher price to get health care and things of that nature. They brought the health problems onto themselves and the people that rarely or never have to go to the doctor or hospital still pay what they do. Maybe it could be like car insurance. You drive a Corvette, you are considered a higher risk because it's value is greater and it goes pretty damn fast. The guy in the Civic won't pay what he does. So the smoker is higher risk and should pay more.

Also the pan never has 6 quarts in it while running anyway because there is 1-2 quarts being pumped though the engine and falling back into the pan at any given time.

With the 6 speed auto you'd more than likely want 4.10's at a minimum with those large/heavy tires. The downside you face is that to tune the computer for the gear ratio change and to make the transmission shift properly again you have to spend a ton of money just to tune it. The minimum cost is about $1,900 if you already owned the tuner device/software.

They don't even know what is too fast. They blow up stories about states that start to open and they get more cases. Well guess what, when you start expanding testing to more and more people you get more freaking cases. Things won't just go down if testing keeps expanding. There is no way is hell that any state can get 14 days of declines in numbers if you keep testing more people every single day. Our governor here in MN says it's not about the numbers yet every single time this guy opens his mouth it's about the numbers and testing and this and that and whatever else about more numbers.

You have to buy an unlocked computer first, then buy the credits and have him do the tuning. This will set you back $1,900 just to do this part.
