  1. which bed length do you have? If you have the "short bed"(5'8") they are 2 inches longer than the 2018's, (5'6") but if you have the midsize bed (6'5") they are the same, at least in length. Or at least that is what the spec's say, I haven't measured
  2. just curious, have you checked to see if something is obstructing the vent tubing? I only ask because mine seem to blow air at a reasonably high volume, not as strong as the front, but much better than the "trickle" you mentioned. If I had to guess I would say if the front is on high fan speed the rear would feel like it was on half or slightly better than half speed. (again, thats just a guess I'm not using a flow meter)
  3. 2010, extended cab, 4X4, I5, 33,000
  4. Am I the only one who finds it interesting that nobody has chrome wheels (unless I missed one)
  5. I had no reason not to believe him typically diesel engines do need more oil than gasoline engines if anything it's my fault for not researching
  6. wouldn't have ever thought it would take less than a gas engine, guess the salesman that said it held 10qts was wrong
  7. I do not have the licence plate bracket, Indiana does not require a front plate, so mine does not have screw holes. As far as being the same, when I talked to the parts man at the dealership he said they were listed the same as far as fitment, but that is all I know. Actually, hopefully not coming off like a jerk, but if yours has holes in it that would be a deal breaker for me
  8. I would trade you the lower from my slt, I've been want a chrome lower and my truck came with black. Do you live close to Indiana?
  9. seemless operation and averaging over 20 mpg, whats not to like?
  10. GMC calls it Pacific Blue, but it looks about the same
  11. I had a 05 before getting the 19, so I obviously didn't have the text or any other app. It took about 3 weeks from when I sent the email, but I did get it.
  12. with that open of a question your going to get a million different opinions. I believe the question you need to ask yourself is do you want to spend more (initial cost - mpg) for more "smiles per mile" or not. both are very capable engines
  13. just in case anybody is still following this, with the new thinner cover on it works fine
  14. getting that thing apart was a bear, finally broke the top off in pieces, but it still won't work with the otter box on, works fine without it though, soooo.... I ordered a new cover that will hopefully be thinner and work. I guess its just not going to work through five layers. (1.plastic on console,2. rubber mat, 3. otter box rubber cover, 4.otter box plastic and the 5.phone plastic)
  15. I was going to ask about doing that, definitely worth a try
  16. got the charger from your link, installed it today but will only charge if I take the otter box off and remove the rubber mat from the lid? however it was an easy install even though it won't work on my phone what phone/otter box do you have? I have the galaxy S9 and the otter box defender
  17. Sorry that your original question seems to have gotten lost along the way, but that is what generally happens with most. As far as the question, I think that it hasn't been out long enough for anyone to form an opinion. I've been watching at a couple of dealerships, one just average sized and one quite large and neither have been able to get one with the new 3.0 As far as owning and driving its like most everything else, ask 100 people and you'll get 100 different answers. Several of my friends have the HD's with diesels and they all like the power, but most don't like how much more they cost to maintain and drive everyday. Now having said that, they all said they didn't regret buying one and in fact most said they aren't likely to go back to gas. I guess it all boils down to what you want, when you find one at the dealer, go drive it and form your own opinion, after all, your the one that is going to pay for it
  18. gator roll up, gate won't open without pulling on it. I tried sliding the cover forward and back but it didn't make any difference. Its not a big deal, but it is a little annoying
  19. just ordered one of those chargers, I was wanting to do this on my old truck but was unsure that the charger would be strong enough to go thru the plastic and otter box, but if its working for you I'm gonna give it a try
  20. sunroof, no pop, 10,000 miles...
  21. exactly! what do you call 100 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? a good start! ?
  22. wow, guess I am in the minority on this one, I always thought that the adjustable pedals were a big waste of money, and as far as tilt/telescopic wheel I set it one time and never move it again. I am nearly a foot taller than my wife and all she does to drive is move the seat a little and she can drive just fine. I guess I just didn't know this was even an issue...
  23. I guess redwngr will have to research prices in his area and decide for himself, I'm not here to talk him or anybody else into or out of anything, just tossing out things to think about, oh, and for the record, I was comparing the duramax to the 5.3 because I don't think there is a comparison to the 6.2. It's just my 2 cents, you don't have to agree...
  24. thats great, diesel here is always at least a dollar a gallon more, and unless I have read bad information, (can't believe I'd get that on the internet?) the diesel holds 2 quarts more than the gas. Not saying its a huge difference, but a couple of bucks here and there adds up quick
  25. but higher cost of fuel, cost of DEF, higher cost for an oil change, even if you do it yourself...
