  1. that emissions thing might depend on what you feed them...
  2. never know what kind of "present" the factory may leave you?
  3. then I don't see any reason why it wouldn't fit, unless they somehow attach differently
  4. which bed length do you have? If you have the "short bed"(5'8") they are 2 inches longer than the 2018's, (5'6") but if you have the midsize bed (6'5") they are the same, at least in length. Or at least that is what the spec's say, I haven't measured
  5. just curious, have you checked to see if something is obstructing the vent tubing? I only ask because mine seem to blow air at a reasonably high volume, not as strong as the front, but much better than the "trickle" you mentioned. If I had to guess I would say if the front is on high fan speed the rear would feel like it was on half or slightly better than half speed. (again, thats just a guess I'm not using a flow meter)
  6. 2010, extended cab, 4X4, I5, 33,000
  7. Am I the only one who finds it interesting that nobody has chrome wheels (unless I missed one)
  8. I had no reason not to believe him typically diesel engines do need more oil than gasoline engines if anything it's my fault for not researching
  9. wouldn't have ever thought it would take less than a gas engine, guess the salesman that said it held 10qts was wrong
  10. I do not have the licence plate bracket, Indiana does not require a front plate, so mine does not have screw holes. As far as being the same, when I talked to the parts man at the dealership he said they were listed the same as far as fitment, but that is all I know. Actually, hopefully not coming off like a jerk, but if yours has holes in it that would be a deal breaker for me
  11. I would trade you the lower from my slt, I've been want a chrome lower and my truck came with black. Do you live close to Indiana?
  12. seemless operation and averaging over 20 mpg, whats not to like?
  13. GMC calls it Pacific Blue, but it looks about the same
  14. I had a 05 before getting the 19, so I obviously didn't have the text or any other app. It took about 3 weeks from when I sent the email, but I did get it.
  15. They still have it, but its not electric anymore
  16. with that open of a question your going to get a million different opinions. I believe the question you need to ask yourself is do you want to spend more (initial cost - mpg) for more "smiles per mile" or not. both are very capable engines
  17. I would guess so, but apparently nobody uses it
  18. My salesman told me they dropped the electric tilt/telescopic wheel because too many people use the steering wheel to help pull themselves into the vehicle and the electric version was more prone to wear from this, which made it not work correctly or at all and it is super expensive to repair or replace. Take that for what its worth...
  19. I came out of a 2005, so everything about my 19 is different, and as far as problems, I haven't had any after 11,400 miles. Hope the newer ones have what your looking for
  20. everyone has their own opinions and tastes, if not there would only be one type of vehicle available. I prefer the new gmc to the chevy as I don't care for the "gills" on either end of the front bumper or the crease/body line on the front fender extending to the door. as for the 2007 - 2018 I didnt like either, think that crease over the fenders looks more like a dent than a body line...
  21. I have the 5.3 and wont change the exhaust because of it sounding like something other than a V8, but to each their own, if someone likes that sound I say go for it
  22. I believe this thread is a darn good example of why we have different options with the engine's and trim levels. Its your money, spend it on what you want/need or can afford and be happy for those who pick something different instead of complaining about their decision
  23. just in case anybody is still following this, with the new thinner cover on it works fine
  24. getting that thing apart was a bear, finally broke the top off in pieces, but it still won't work with the otter box on, works fine without it though, soooo.... I ordered a new cover that will hopefully be thinner and work. I guess its just not going to work through five layers. (1.plastic on console,2. rubber mat, 3. otter box rubber cover, 4.otter box plastic and the 5.phone plastic)
  25. I was going to ask about doing that, definitely worth a try
