  1. actually no, I hadn't seen your post until after writing this...
  2. I'm not here to argue or piss anyone off, but I just don't understand the posts bitching about all the options that are no longer available on new trucks. Did you not check to see what was available BEFORE you bought it? And if what you wanted isn't there or not an option then why did you buy it in the first place? I'm not going to list specific topics, I think most everybody on here knows which ones I mean. I understand the bitches about things not working correctly, but stuff that is not even there?!?!? ?
  3. but they move together or at least they do on the 2016, so its not going to change the spacing between the 2, only closer/farther to the seat
  4. yes, no question. I had a 2005 before this 2019 and the only issue I had over 14 years and 190000 miles was a bad A/C compressor. I have 33000 miles on the 2019 and still no issues, so again, yes, no question...
  5. vented seats on my 19 work great, sorry ya'll are having issues...
  6. My 2019 sierra is the first vehicle I've had that even had a camera, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I have to say I see absolutely no issues with the way it works, brightness, field of vision, or anything else with or without streetlights
  7. I don't notice any difference in power, performance, or mpg no matter which fuel I use, and for that matter never have with any of my vehicles so I say go for the least expensive. BTW, I typically keep vehicals for around 15 years and approximately 200K miles and have never had a fuel related problem with any of them
  8. all you chrome and stainless haters out there can send all that good shiney stuff to me!
  9. sounds about right to me
  10. Mine did this last week, if you tap inside the box, not on the X, it will take you to a screen and ask you if your password is correct and then the message will disappear. I don't know why it happened, I guess it had something to do with an update of some kind?
  11. I think it had something to do with weight or weight distribution, I'll see if I can find it So I found it, they are testing a 5.3 with the 8 speed and a 6.2 with the 10. In this video neither truck was maxed out, and it was about the fact that the 5.3 was lighter weight therefore having a better payload capacity and 30lbs greater tongue weight. I guess I didn't realize that the 6.2 was that much heavier than the 5.3, and of course the 10 speed is heavier than the 8 speed
  12. he may have been thinking about an article that tfltruck did, where they picked the 5.3 over the 6.2 for towing. I don't remember their reasoning, you would have to find the article...
  13. don't get me wrong, its great that everyone has their own taste and ideas about what looks good, but I'm tired of seeing lifted T1's, so lets see those lowered T1's, both 2 and 4 wheel drive
  14. he still has some valid points, at least in my opinion and I know, opinions are like butts, everybody has one and most of them stink?
  15. Agree with your statements, I went with the 5.3 mostly because I don't really don't ever pull anything that I would need the extra torque and diesel fuel here in west central IN is currently $2.86 vs $1.77 for gas, which is a fairly normal difference
  16. just curious, how did you clear the codes? do you have your own code reader/scanner that will do it? the one I checked into would read codes, but not clear them, the person at the auto parts store said the only one who can clear a code is the dealer
  17. I worked as a service adviser several years ago at a dealership, and unfortunately this happens a lot more than anybody realizes. I guess the old saying is true, 1 bad apple....
  18. well, at the risk of sounding like a jerk, I'm glad you got the silverado too, that leaves more of these highly useful tailgates for those of us who use them
  19. I, and several others, have installed our own. Its simple to do and you won't know its there. Its in the center console lid like the way they use to do it. The thread is on here if you just do a search on wireless charging
  20. curious why you have both a spray in liner and a bed rug? isn't it usually one or the other?
  21. sounds really high to me. I drive a semi getting 6mpg and only need about 4 to 5 gallons a week. using that much I would think your dpf is close to being plugged up. I'm just going off my experience with 13 and 15 liter Diesels though, so take it for what its worth...
  22. thanks for the info, I have recently been considering painting it pacific blue to match the truck...
  23. Same for me. Update 3 days ago, no issues. At least not yet...
  24. IMO you should go find and drive one of each and then decided for yourself because in the end you have to pay for it and, as you can already see, your going to get a million different opinions here
