Rough Country Trifold Hard Tonneau Cover - fits 2014-2018 Silverado/Sierrra 1500 6.5 bed $200 Local pickup near Bloomsburg (PA) preferred, but would be willing to meet at a location within reason. Thanks!

Pedal Commander PC65 - excellent condition/like new - compatible with 2007-2018 Silverado/Sierra 1500’s as well as some other GM trucks *note* - comes with zip ties and velcro cradle for mounting, but no adhesive velcro strip for mounting surface as I used that previously for install. Though any cheap adhesive backed velcro strip found at a hardware store will work! $200 shipped via USPS w/tracking

Thanks for the links! I have replica 20” GMC Honeycomb wheels, judging by Motofab’s website I’ll need wheel spacers? Aren’t wheel spacers usually frowned upon? Or maybe I’m just regurgitating something I read somewhere..

Good to know. If it does end up being a bad upper ball joint, I’ll probably just swap out the stock UCA’s for aftermarket ones. Like I said, the clunk is really sporadic and only happens once and a while. Is there anything else that could possibly be causing it? I haven’t noticed any uneven tire wear (yet) etc..
-
Yes, they are the stock UCA’s. I know I took a gamble keeping them, now I may be paying the price. I’ve heard replacing upper ball joints isn’t cheap, so I’m fearing that price may be high..

I have a 2018 Silverado with a 2.5” RC level kit. Occasionally/sporadically when making sharp, slow speed turns (usually when parking) I’ll notice a faint “clunk” coming from the front end. The truck itself has 33k miles (about 6k w/the level kit). Could this be indicative of a bad ball joint? If so, is it normal for a 2.5” front level to wear a ball joint out that quickly? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I looked into the MBRP a bit more, but it specfically said on their website that the Black Series is not recommended for use in environments that could have road salt. Guess since I’m in PA that rules out that option.. I found a few clips of Carven’s systems and they sound pretty nice, especially for the price. They seem like a relatively new company. Not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing..

Hmm that could be an option as well. Do you have an recommendations over Flowmaster for a muffler?

So I’ve had my 2018 Redline (5.3) with a K&N CAI for about a year now and have been pretty satisfied with it. I liked that it sounded pretty much stock until I got into the 2k-3k RPM range and then the CAI opened up a little bit of audible grunt, which was nice. But now I’m contemplating picking up a full exhaust system. I’ve done a fair bit a sifting through threads here and I ideally would like just little extra growl when I get on the throttle and preferably minimal to no drone at all since it’s my daily driver. The CAI is great, but as I mentioned, you can only hear it around 2k/3k and nothing lower or higher than that. I know Borla and Corsa are some of the top recommendations here, but unfortunately I would really like to be my budget for this sub $700 if possible. I’ve narrowed it down to these choices. I’m self-admittedly somewhat of an exhaust novice, so any input or experience with these options would be great, thanks! https://www.americantrucks.com/flowmaster-silverado1500-flowfx-single-exhaust-system-black-tip-side-exit-717857.html https://www.americantrucks.com/flowmaster-silverado1500-flowfx-dual-exhaust-system-black-tips-side-exit-717869.html https://www.americantrucks.com/mbrp-3-black-series-catback-exhaust-single-side-exit-1417-53l.html https://www.americantrucks.com/carven-exhaust-competitor-series-catback-exhaust-single-side-exit-1418-53l-silverado.html https://www.americantrucks.com/carven-exhaust-progressive-series-catback-exhaust-single-side-exit-1418-53l-silverad.html

M1, no question. They’re only going to go up in value. I went through the CMP for mine and I highly recommend them!

Chirping? noise when accelerating
mistermcgoo replied to Music Junkie's topic in Troubleshooting & Recalls
Has anyone had luck with the dealer addressing this issue? Just noticed this on my 2018 as well as a squeaky/creaky brake pedal (the creak seems to be coming from up higher near the brake booster). I was just going to live with the annoying creaky brake pedal, but after the squeaking started I think the both of them may warrant a visit to the dealer. I found someone on youtube (posted below) that posted a video about the same issue and while reading through the comments he stated that he eventually got the dealer to replace some exhaust components which solved the issue completely. It’s unfortunate these two issues happen often (Almost every time you accelerate or brake) and become highly irritating. My truck is still under warranty thankfully. Am I being too critical or would this stuff bother you guys also and deserve a trip to the dealer? -
What have you done to your K2 today?

Bought mine about a month ago and love it. I don't think I would be able to tolerate going back to driving without the added sensitivity now.. -

2020 or 2021 refresh coming on the 1500's?
mistermcgoo replied to rtr16's topic in Future GM News & Rumors
Yes, I have to agree with you. One big thing that stands out to me, is the 8" screen. It's the same size as my 2018, but because of the lines/geometry of the T1 interior in ends up looking smaller somehow and feels farther away from you. That's just my opinion though.. -
Thoughts on the GM OEM Cold Air Intake.
mistermcgoo replied to M R Trucks's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
I have a 2018 5.3 with a CAI, so take the following for what it's worth Coming from a bone stock 2016 5.3 with 3.08 gears to my current 2018 with a CAI and 3.42 gears, I definitely notice a difference. Not night and day, but there is a noticeable change. As far as how much the CAI contributes to that I can't confidently say, since there's a difference in gearing.. I honestly probably never would have bothered putting on a CAI, but since the previous owner of my 18' threw one on I decided to leave it on for now. I can say that I love the low RPM growl it gives though! Reminds me that I'm in a V8. I have a pedal commander on the way, from what I hear it should change the throttle response dramatically and people on here seem to give them pretty good reviews generally speaking. Check them out if you haven't already. -

Yea. Don't get me wrong, I love GM and try to think of myself as pretty loyal.. but not sure how they justify charging you just under $40k for a "special edition" vehicle and then don't even include premium lighting.

What have you done to your K2 today?
mistermcgoo replied to block8head's topic in Modifications & Accessories
Full exterior detail.. clay bar, ceramic, wax/sealant plus fixed what chips I could on the front bumper. 6 hours later and I’m totally exhausted lol.. the most time consuming part was cleaning/waxing/sealing the wheels. All of those nooks and crannies on these honeycombs really takes a bit of time. -

30k miles doesn't seem high for a nearly 3 year old vehicle. My buddy's 17' has 35k on it which comes to just under 12k, which is now considered average. When did you purchase it? -
Adding fog lamps to lower trims?
mistermcgoo replied to MikeNH's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Hmm this worries me. I have a 2018 that didn't come with fog lights.. so I have a new OEM bumper with fog cutouts, fog lights, harness and switch ready to be installed. Is $135/hr the average going rate for dealership labor these days? If it was $400 to do his, I can't imagine what it's going to cost for mine since they're be completely swapping out bumpers etc.. -
Is 2018 same as 2019 LD
mistermcgoo replied to SilveradoLD's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Just did a bit of shopping around and I can't seem to find any oem fog light harness'. Does anyone know where to pick one up? I'd rather not pay stealership prices if at all possible.. -

mistermcgoo replied to SilveradoLD's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
I was thinking about adding fogs to my 2018 LT as well, but not sure how much it will run after all is said and done.. I'm assuming it wouldn't be cheap -
How much fuel does idling actually use? I was always under the impression that the amount was negligible, but while sitting parked in my truck the other day I noticed on my DIC that my average MPG dropped about 1/10th MPG for about every 30-40 seconds spent parked idling..
