  1. so April last year bought a 2020 2500 LT brand new for $47,300 OTD in so cal (10.25 tax)....financed whole truck, and today sold that truck to carvana for $45,814 and owed $42,480 on loan.......that is absolutelty insane! i just never used the 2500 the way I thought I would and know they didnt make many of them.....now kinda wondering if I should have kept it to see if it went up higher but it has to max out craziest part is 3 weeks ago when I was gonna sell it to them it was 43k, every week it went up and up again....til this week when it reached whats stated....the process was simple and no hiccups and still i sit here wondering how i came out with a profit of 3k plus on that deal.....they are gonna sell it for more than I paid brand new it had 7800 miles
  2. ive always stated you could probably use eibach spring with just about any shock aside from 2.5 or bigger....as long as it fits the housing and bilstein uses stock housing componets.... is anyone using this for Sierra?.....just spoke to Eibach and no Sierra is offered even though its same truck....they said they need a 21 sierra for measurements and to email the engineer so i did, i live close to Eibach and they will possibly use my truck to get a kit from them... the issue with Z71 ranchos is soft compression and no rebound dampening whatsoever.....it just keeps pogoing down the road long after the bump....that is rebound....also when you run down a washboard road with a soft shock it will ride in harsher part of travel (mid travel) and kick when it cant absorb multiple hits ....basically the rancho isnt good for anything cept for DD.....just not valved for what GM says or markets them to be.....TB rancho ive heard is alot better but twin tubes are horrible and i now have them again for second time, lol.....but shocks are easy 2 speed transfer case i'snt so easy so its worth the money and just change the shocks.....when you jump up in diameter and volume you have much much available dampening to absorb the force....the bigger piston/shaft can resist more and alot more oil volume which reduces heat.......its actually pretty simple the way shocks work and makes total sense like people said there just isnt any dampening really at all in ranchos and its a cheap shock retail wise so cant expect much from a $50 shock......especially if your adding 40-60lbs a corner with bigger heavier tires and alot more rotating mass and unsprung weight.....taxes the suspension that much more
  3. what was January?
  4. i wouldnt do a spacer....get a bilstein or eibach strut lift, just rides better and you dont lose downtravel on your suspension....plus they really arent that expensive and install labor will be pretty close to same.....if you keep the truck you will end up doing this anyway, most spacer kits get replaced with better kits dtl.......i just picked up 2021 elevation and ranchos valving is horrid to put it mildly......installing firmer, planted yet still compliant shocks are much nicer to drive on and also safer and more predictable stock it rides like a cadillac with tons of body roll and no rebound dampening whatsoever.....hit a bump and it pogos for another 100yds long after the dip......you will save money in the end i believe by not doing this 2 or 3 times you will want more eventually......almost everyone does it is correct 2in is the benchmark of not needing to do anything to correct geometry....never a bad thing though to get more articulation in control arms and differential once you start going past that.....
  5. oh ******, this is double post.....i thought it didnt go thru but just seen this....my bad but thanks and yeah color is a trip....
  6. standard kit is a clip like bilstein.....this looks like the way KING, fox and icon do theirs...but its not offered for T1 yet but sure it will be soon.....if its on a lift probably not too bad but think suspension has to be unloaded anyway to adjust any of them.... idk know anything about them i just seen them for first time today.....
  7. they have a new kit and wondering if anyone has used them or seen them?.....its a complete coilover kit with spring installed and threaded shock body instead of clip system
  8. yeah its a trippy color, still looks kinda weird to me after looking at white for so long.......wanted a 4x4 again and it feels like a car compared to 2500, lol.....sure that feeling will fade away soon
  9. Thanks, ......after all white trucks since 2000 I needed a color change....
  10. Flew to AZ at 2pm and back home in LA @ 10PM........the Z71 suspension is horribly soft and mushy, and i forgot how bad the IOR backup camera is (have HD in my 2500) is there any aftermarket upgrade for camera?...thought I read somewhere there was awhile back kinda miss some of functions of 2nd conv pkg but if camera was fixed i would be fine.....drives alot easier than big 2500 (for sale) and looks awesome, got a much better deal in Arizona than I could locally......have to give shout out to Van Buick GMC in Scottsdale....I was in and out in under 1hr.... and 15 min was spent getting floor liners, lol.....no hassle, no bs, even finance guy was direct to point no upsell.....would go back again....local dealers were alot higher and none would budge, this was bout 1k more than Laura but less travel expenses, and time ($47 plane tix and full tank they filled made it home).....so almost a wash in end.... 4x4, X31, multi pro gate,
  11. Flew to AZ this am and just back 2 LA 6hrs later
  12. I actually like the stock GM rims so i would have done same......I used to get alot of powder coating done but in LA there are alot them and price does seem high but not as high as new rims..... havent seen many rims that look good and they all kinda look the same so stock ones look great in silver or black
  13. is it similar to eibach where they dont suggest the max height? those things are sick!......yeah eibach makes springs for Icon, you have rear set as well?......post up what you think after you drive on them and thoughts vs your other setup
  14. what is height adjustment on those?....
  15. yeah cant see them being that big a deal.....if your raising it 2.5 and only using a 1" diff drop thats still 1.5" over stock.....and TB is 2"... if you go even higher and still use 1" diff drop longer CVs would be even better....
  16. i didnt see a ton of RST in 2019 that were even in 50s....maybe i wasnt looking but in 20 and 21 i have seen RSTs mostly in 50s....they say price didnt really go up but it sure seems like inventory overall is carrying a much higher price tag than in 2019..... agreed. if i get into mid 50s or higher i am jumping up a trim level funny how a loaded up mid level isnt really much different than the high trims these days.....they took away bucket seat option in LT for sure it was to make peeps jump up.....once you get in one you wonder why they are so much more, sure its nice to have but can also tell it didnt take much to add that "feature".......i dont even use the premium screen i have in my LT 2500 to its capabilities, lol
  17. yeah I dont like not driving the truck.....my neighbor has the tesla, i sit there and watch him park it with his i phone
  18. yeah I dont really care about cruise control much..i dont drive long distances much and in LA almost impossible to use anyway and to tell you the truth it feels weird driving without controlling the gas pedal...GM screen is fine now, plus my truck has alot of value now idk how long that will last.....gas will continue to rise, though i may wait to see what next month brings.....probably more of same though.....
  19. My RST had that clunk but rarely, some had it alot worse....new 10spd is nothing but awesome from what I've heard......I just can't get a Ford....I need all storage I can get and center console is a must!....bench seat sucks, I hate it....I like column shifter as well.....test drove a Ram and dial was weird....truck rode nice and it has lot more options for same pricepoint....and seats seemed better but testdrive is almost a waste.....my silverado seemed so much different after I owned it compared to just the test drive I did b4 I bought it.....my 2500 I didn't even testdrive...bought it 100% online and they delivered it.....never set foot in a dealer, lol
  20. bucket seats, door buttons and also the 10spd tranny.....still on fence between RAM and GMC....had 2 silverados past 2 years and i think they will outlast a ram reliability wise but jeez, i have hard time getting comfortable in new seats of GM trucks....trying to think 5 years down the road....kinda kickin my self for giving up my 19 RST as basically going right back to it, lol
  21. it is GMC elevation.....i would definently require just as you stated if it was a done deal, though i am sure they sell to california and aware of the issue.....but yeah am not flying all way out there to get a " surprise"
  22. they confirmed it is california legal for registration.....so now just have to make a decision if i want to fly to st louis and drive back
  23. The 8.4.....I dont care for 12" Driving down the road its hard to use info screen for everything....truck is shaking and tough to hit one small icon But they did good job of integrating into dash and not an IPad on top of dash
  24. agreed.......mold it into the dash, not sticking up above it ram did good job integrating theirs
  25. that works for registration or only license?
