  1. where that bulb is in red housing is the brake light/turn signal.....the perimeter is LED running lights
  2. i have an elevation.....think taillights are LED, for sure the reverse lights are incadescent its plain as day.....with the red its harder to tell what is to confirm, if the bulb is turn signal?
  3. cayenne red tintcoat after owning white trucks for 20+ years.....i do like white just wanted a change
  4. check tons of dealers even out of state.....think i contacted about 25 when i purchased last month
  5. If you want a good sound system I would think that is probably best.....not sure stock speakers could handle an Amp, or for how long...... Sure mine will sound a bit better doing things I mentioned I would do but yeah believe it needs more power..... am sure there are plenty of qualified people here in stereo modifications here....I am not one, lol.....just the basics Type of music you listen too as well..... Still glad I have better speakers though it just wasn't that big a difference
  6. i dont think you have to buy it right now......i get extended warranty offeres for my toyota constantly even still and i dont even even own the truck anymore your factory takes care of first 3 years so anytime before thats up would seem fine.......extended warranties kick in after the factory runs out correct?....so either now or 2 years from now shouldnt matter
  7. GMC packages are very similar to chevy just worded differently.....AT4 is trail boss in chevy.... just check out build options between both and you'll see similarities Z71 and X31 are the same ive had both GMC and chevy recently and GMC seems a bit more refined but who knows if its brand or just a 2 yr newer version......i have GMC 8 speed and flawless so far......SLT and denali have 10 spd and elevation is split in half with either tranny currently whatever is available, best options and price is the one that is probably the best choice.......their options are very similar.....conv 2 pkg in chevy is preferred pkg in GMC....X31 is Z71 (2 spd transfer case and hill descent) for offroad the rest are self explanantory SLT in GMC is LTZ in chevy basically......AT4 is a trail boss with options that go beyond i believe, not alot of deals on AT4 or trail boss from what ive seen but maybe YMMV
  8. i went from dbl cab, to crew cab and back to dbl cab......i dont haul anyone so it works perfect for me and std bed is a must.....if people are gonna be riding in back get the crew cab (also will help on resale).....no way can anyone sit back there for any length of time.....just extra storage for me
  9. better to have more than enough than not enough.......all things being equal with just an added spring in leaf i would go for 3500 if there was a serious ride or money issues maybe not.....but they are basically same in every way cept for more capability and they have it right now.....i would think a 3500 for anyone who tows and needs a HD.....they are such different trucks than a 1500
  10. yep, says x31 not offered with 2.7 turbo engine....have to switch motors
  11. pricing seems high on GMC.....x31 off road amd protection is only $1105 discounted from $1600 and trailer brake controller is $275....on this build sheet its quite a bit higher $53270 is MSRP i got but maybe its missing some other extras nevermind its canadian, lol........my bad
  12. i put in the doors and its a bit better but not huge.....i didnt do any sound deadening and just slapped them in really quick as i was in a rush (stupid and i knew i should have waited and did it right).....i still have tweeters to do and will redo doors with dynamat, weather seal, and foam surrounds......i am sure an amp would help as the bose has one and mine doesn't have one or not that good.... for now tweeters and I will refine the door install to help....see where that ends up i really notice the tweeters now where with stock speakers they didnt seem to stand out so much from the rest..... the plates behind door handles are really fragile and tabs break super easy FYI.....
  13. probably so....
  14. i had a 19 RST and now have 21 Elevation.....both are 8spds ( alot of elevations are 8spds now so you have to check the sticker) seems to me the GMC is a bit more refined but idk if its because its a 21 or gmc vs chevy or just in my head.......but it certainly feels that way to me i wanted the 10spd as well but my elevations 8spd is pretty awesome and super smooth so no worries
  15. Talking bout if you live in snow half year
  16. 2021 gmc elevation and have em on all four doors again......2019, 2020, and now 2021 and all trucks had them......what i dont have on this one which i had on other 2 is all 4 window roll down switch....that i kinda like
  17. i dont understand the concern for noise if you wanna run aggressive tires.....if you live in snow its already a noisy ride (turn radio up, lol)....grip and performance is the key when driving in those conditions........and when did noise from offroad tires even become a thing?....remember when peeps ran them becasue of that beautiful hummm they make..... i would actually prefer it over smooth tires even on dry pavement but ive never owned a car really so its all i know......
  18. maybe so.......i would probably continue to buy GMC over Chevy though from now on after owning both of same trim ( RST vs Elevation) and body style of new T1 gen.....certainly feels like a " tighter more refined" truck for sure
  19. i have to say my GMC 5.3 8 speed feels better than my 19 RST 5.3 8spd......i dont know if its a fact, but it feels peppier with better shift points and more power.....i had a 2500 6.6l in between these trucks and am pretty sure GM didnt change anything but it certainly does feel like they refined it......GMC vs chevy idk, and its probably the exact same it just feels different......the whole truck just feels more refined than my 19....weather seals, tightness of door closing, noise, steering, motor, tranny, it just feels like different truck but the same all in one.....
  20. i went from IOR ( no sirius) to IOS and back to IOR ( with sirius) i believe its in the sharkfin from what i gathered before on first truck but yeah i didnt care too much about IOS becasue of android auto........i still do miss the IOS though as it had a couple other functions I liked that the IOR doesnt have but oh well..... wish GM just did their infotainment like Ram does where you can just pay for the upgrade and all the systems are the same no matter the trim.....8.4 is same as well as 8.4 w/nav....
  21. your talking about a 3.5" lift......all lift kits in general level the truck i would do it right and spend the money.....but its your truck
  22. depends.....as stated some peeps have good service depts near them and there are also alot of them that arent so good......same with independent shops.....pretty simple process, i wouldnt be too worried about warranty issue if you do everything correctly which is why alot of people just do it themselves
  23. they have both.....get $200 credit back for 8spd when i was looking at a alot of them it seemed about half had 8spd and other half 10spd.....have to look at window sticker to find out if it has 10spd delete.....heard something happened with them and ford or something with quantity of 10spds available but idk details i couldnt find one with 10spd with options i wanted and price i got mine has been flawless but only have 1k miles on it.....
  24. i had a 2019 RST and it had the clunk from 1-2 in the morning but wasnt horrible i now have 2021 Elevation and its smooth as butter so far......the whole 21 truck just seems to be a bit more refined to me......but i did want the 10spd just werent many available i thought all the SLT with 4x4 got the 10spd and 2WD got the 8spd?
  25. thanks....think i found it was bit frustrating at first
