new trucks cost same as used ones is what ive been finding. if not going to high volume dealer or someone who can match them than prices are crazy..... given that i can sell mine for what i paid i get same on back end.....i bought a 2019 for 36k ( MSRP 48k or so) a new elevation is 42k but my existing truck that should be 35-37k is worth 42-43k...more if i sell it private.......so i guess its a wash, but used in my area is crazy high....can get new one for same as used 2020 or 2019..... i bought a 2500 back in april when deals were good and financed the whole truck so basically just rented it for a year.....and inventory is crazy low on HD....just not using it as much as i thought, but if i was to take huge hit i just keep it, not worth it otherwise...... if i could just sell mine and ride it out i would but i need a replacement.....so its either used or new and seems new is about the same.....very similar to even back to last summer.....except my truck shot up another 3k crazy world

nah i dont have another state to register.....think even po boxes dont qualify anymore?.......lived in D.P. ( selva rd) and San Clemente ( Pico ave) for years, loved it down there btw......I wont get into Drivers license issues, lol

so original factory warranty carries thru from original date of purchase no matter of owner changes?

i will be financing but thru my CU.....check on CA emission, I thought that all were at this point but ill check.....be nice to eveything done there but its fine.......thanks for tip......never bought out of state about a 5-6k difference between here locally and there so far......pretty substantial

yeah thats what i got as well, he called today some dealers take care of it and some dealers dont, just wasnt sure what they did, however the salesman did say i pay tax in illinois and then they send that back to me to pay my state plus what i owe on top...either way its fine just wasnt sure, maybe heading to st louie and see my brother on way back....be nice trip..... thanks

how does it work at Laura.... do you pay local sales tax and than make up difference plus registration back home....live in Ca i will always be higher than anywhere in country, lol (10.25%)

i would think you could keep longer CV axles and do a 1" drop on differential and be fine.......moreso than the length is the angle, you want them as flat as can be or at least stock angles....think GM made them longer cuz they left differential height unchanged BDS makes great kits, the ride and longevity of real kit are well worth cost.. baja kits has one with LCA that is nice (think its 4" total in front).....lower arm adds the lift in combo with adj coilover.....KING 3.0 shocks are an option....fox has 3.0 as well i believe size of the piston and diameter of the shaft make all the difference.....just has more capacity to do same job with less stress/heat....drove a truck that had bypass 3.0 KINGs and was shocked how smooth it was on highway

Pretty nice setup you have now....so you just got 6112 made for TB and you are at like 3.2 up front now ......what did they run you $?....I think those are rebuildable as well....might even have increased your travel with those....I know the kings give another inch or so on theirs...probably others as well The bilsteins and icons use same digressive valving so should feel somewhat familiar if you decide to change dtl...

can you tell the difference now?......i remember on your first kit you said if felt about the same, but now you had it done several different ways....

i thought you were doing susension lift.....i am not a fan of spacers but yeah they work and if your mall crawling wont hurt anything.....you do lose travel so if you hit anything remotelty rough it will bottom out prematurely you can get eibach front shocks or bilsteins for $500 installed.....the fronts anyway or pretty close to that......dealers are crazy expensive usually in labor cost ask lapoolboy.....he went from spacers, to gm kit to what he has now i believe so he would be good source on difference between. them in newer trucks.....ill never do another spacer kit again, they ride like ****** imo

if you want to go 2" it wont matter what kit gets you there (2" is 2").....you can buy eibach or bilstein kit and they will mimick the gm kit and they are cheaper and better quality.....the gm kit gets you longer CV axles (they do this becasue they didnt drop the differential in TB i believe )....but yeah 2" is pretty much benchmark where you can use stock componets and not worry too much.....aftermarket UCA will be stronger and have better articulation but not needed if just doing normal stuff light offroad gm kit will run you $1000-1200 plus labor $500-700 ( can buy them on ebay for cheaper) other 2 kits are probably under $1000 with labor king or fox kit is around $3500 installed Eibach and Bilstein shocks are better quality than the ranchos however the ranchos dont ride bad and monotubes are better than the twin tubes.... king, fox, icon, make really nice kits but obviously $$$$ your truck will be safe either way.....its not a big deal

correct companies just covering their butts once you know what TB is, makes it really simple to figure out, what your willing to live with is subjective.....

Smart move on UCA.....oems will work but for how long.....this way no worry and if the ballpoint is replaceable even better and greaseable better yet Truck should ride alot better as well

I would bet bilstein doesn't make springs and good chance they are eibach springs.....of course every company will have their name stamped...pro comp, fabtech, etc...but either way just an option.... Eibach is spring company first and foremost where others are shock companies

if you buy an eibach spring probably would go bit higher.........eibach kit is 1.2 with oem spring but with their spring you get a bit over 2" i believe.....would have to imagine it would work with bilstein shock or at very least eibach makes a spring for bilstein shock......they are one of biggest spring companies and supply most aftermarket companies with their springs.... sure they could and will make lift springs for other shocks......

i dont know why they say not for TB.....its same damn thing as whats on a stock TB, lol it wouldnt level a TB but it would certainly work....
