  1. one of first things i did was upgrade to LEDs.....mine worked out perfect as far as cutoff.....i used a wall like dude above said and almost identical, haven't been flashed once in 6 months and my truck sits pretty high.... my neighbors business upgrades sprinter vans into fancy overlander type vehicles and he brought a brand new one home other day and even that had halogens......those are 50-80k though this one was probably closer to 50k......still cant believe halogen even exist anymore
  2. you can just get a differential lowering kit......they are just spacers and a bolts, not much to it and can find them everywhere baja kits is solid as well as BDS curious on why a trail boss if your gonna scrap out suspension anyway? the KINGS are friggen pretty sweet especially if they are custom tuned
  3. really solid and well built, but not maintenance free (require more than some others).....good price too considering, they are right down the street from me think any aftermrket will surely be better than stock and if you arent slamming it into whoops.....they are more than enough.......camburgs are racing UCAs
  4. DC always worked for me.....i have CC now in 2500 but only because i couldnt find a DC at the time. my RST was DC.....yeah only transporting my pooch (which passed in august) for me it was full size bed as well (construction business)....had to have it and hard to find in 1500s in CC.....in 2500 i get 3 more inches in bed regardless of cab.....3 inches doesnt sound like much but i can tell the difference for sure i also realize everyones needs are different.... manufacturers care about sales and thats all......just not enough peeps buying them i remember when you actually had to order a short box......it was not standard and very few around
  5. yeah I think custom gets basic 7".....may have option for entry level 8"....but yes it wont have alot of features I have the premium 8" info ( LT conv 1 and 2) and I cant fold my mirrors while locking the doors.....LTZ or HC gets it
  6. had both downshift coming to stop (3rd to 2nd gear i beleive) and the 45 mph one......but its very infrequent and i just chalk it up to being a new truck......i dont get alarmed too easily but if it becomes more frequent and or more violent i would check it out.......otherwise ill let it break in and see what happens dtl......in tow haul mode have not had one issue......mine are all in normal mode be nice if they had a mode right in middle between tow and normal....that would be a really sweet spot for this truck imo mine is 6.6L gas
  7. the 2500s and 1500s have different steering mechanics and dont use same systems.....and higher end 2500s get digital assist
  8. ive never seen it stated......think they just assume it is because of the 1500 version
  9. can just run the GM version https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-GMC-Sierra-6-6-Liter-Gas-Metal-Emblem-84337686-OEM-6-6L-Chevy-Silverado-20/372715417401?hash=item56c791ef39:g:hdsAAOSwEMddL2ED on second thought idk if it would fit there, think GM version goes on the door or upper qtr panel
  10. nice truck, congrats!.....and yeah i missed the ride and accurate handling of 1500 some days, longer i own the truck the less i miss it or maybe just forget how they drove.....i put a lil weight in mine always even when DD to soften it, but when you need to haul or tow something their is no comparison......the more weight the better they drive
  11. yeah almost got GMC and lights was a plus as well as bed liner.....but didnt have 2nd convienance pkg
  12. only on 1500s.....the std 2500s sit pretty friggen tall stock as it is....mine does and i dont have AT4
  13. i did my low and high beams and no issues.....been great and cutoff is very similar to sock.....around a $150-200 for both sets though if i bought them at same time it would have been cheaper......still pretty happy......after 6 months someone would have flashed me if the lights werent at same angle as stock....espeially here in so cal, peeps are always looking for reason to ****** at something....also i matched them up against a wall to std light and i couldnt tell a difference myself.....other than the light was much cleaner and brighter.......just didnt want to replace whole housing if i didnt have too........and havent so
  14. i got around 8k off on 49k gas LT.....that was back in april though.....i believe GM rebate was $3500 and rest was dealer discount....its always changing and april was good month to buy and i didnt have a costco discount though wish i did.....
  15. chevy prolly will offer the 10spd in a bigger gas motor......does anyone offer just transmisson upgrades without a motor change in HD truck?....i havent heard of one aside from 5.3 in 1500s ( 6, 8 and 10spds) chevy will have the 10 spd in a bigger V8 gasser as upgrade i am guessing as upcharge i have the 6 spd...while mpg could be better imo its not bad at all.....
  16. They corrected it this year All have storage for 2021 as they should.....thats ridiculous that 2020 dont....really thats bs move You now have to make 2 separate lids instead of 1...wtf I bought LT for this reason and few others
  17. I have 6.6 gas and empty in town LA coastal ( live at beach with tight streets and lots of lights and stop signs)....its around 9 mpg Once I hit freeway its 16-20 mpg unloaded If you have a ton of stop and go it kills mileage... In gas version it loves momentum....but stopping every block it hates
  18. agreed.....RC isnt a shock company, i would not run their shocks.....I ran 2 other " lift kit" companies "shocks" and they were horrible....and i yanked off bilsteins to do it on 1 of them....lesson learned.....use actual shock companies for shocks
  19. loved the ko2.....no complaints
  20. think Custom vs LT is only $1800 difference....lot less of spread than i thought it would be these are the 2 I debated hard over when deciding
  21. yeah i was over 20% but back in aug 2019....right now is tough, i was thinking of going back to 1500 but the hit i would take is too much.....so decided just stay with mine
  22. havent tried the pump method but i would be all over an aftermarket brake kit if it was reasonable
  23. even back in April when i got the one i have now inventory was super slim
  24. I would just piece it out.....or mix and match....probably the diff would need addressing as well get UCA of your choice, buy some keys, buy a block and get shocks you want.....would at least put an eibach or bilstein shock on there...they are afterall suspension companies...KING or Fox would be really nice ..that would be my thought anyways they all look the same at any given height ....put some decent shocks on for sure...
