  1. aint that the friggen truth
  2. not even close to 13....8-10 in city mostly 8.....with a light foot as well
  3. its $200 on other models but $5 on Denali, lol yeah that sounds crazy not to just build more shafts or parts......but what to do with 100,000 8 speed trannys laying around,
  4. sure the brembo kit is nice but does seem bit overpriced......wonder if you can just go to brembo
  5. test it out with a buddy.......get in his car and have him drive the truck ( or vice versa) and pass each other at night on the street and see what your lights look like..... this would be good way to check....
  6. probably have a boatload of them left and need to dump them.....are there trannys farmed out or built in house?
  7. i bought a sealight kit as well......no issues
  8. am sure GM does the minimum.....heck all manufacturers do with most of the truck.....have to believe if someone had the time to go through whole truck it would make a huge difference.......stuff like this, brakes, suspension is where i would spend my money.....truck already looks pretty friggen nice....but making it perform better is much more pleasing
  9. huge profit margins on high end trims.....if you really look at it and break it down its pretty easy to see where they make bank on these.....it isnt proportionate but hey if you got the cash and dont care ****** it.....cant take it with you and be hard to add it later....
  10. yes its better to have more than barely enough...... bought it for payload but regardless it will always be more than i need and just make that process so much easier......it is a big truck for sure. coming from a late model 1500 its not even really comparable....these are towing and hauling machines.....my brother just bought one too and same deal his 1500 could do the job but 2500 just makes it so much easier and less stressful.....he said night and day difference.....plus they drive like a champ with the weight where the 1500 doesnt
  11. yeah not big deal.....dealer transfers as well
  12. haha.....biggest thing i noticed between these and 1500 was steering and brakes.......it does wander quite a bit not near as tight as 1500.....i kinda think this is HD trait based on others who have said same thing mine is 100% stock so i will probably take it in to just have it checked as i can totally see it not being correct from factory as grumpy said.....in fact i would almost expect it to be "out"
  13. lol. so many times that has happened to me, and at stoplights......almost tagged a few peeps b4 i caught that i was moving
  14. yeah the steering and brakes are nowhere near the 2019 RST i had prior.....i could see adding a better caliper and maybe pads would help.....but they are kinda pricey
  15. mine is noisey but its weird how "vague" the steering is vs a 1500.....wonder if LTZ and HC steering is better since they have the digital steering vs lower trims......the truck kinda "wanders" more on the road vs 1500....idk this is my first 2500 HD
  16. as long as you get correct rim with offset and backspacing....i think 17" was tough on new silverados but 18" shouldnt be....but switching out rims and tires is pretty normal
  17. got as high as 21 mpg.....but 18mpg at 60mph and 15-17 @ 70mph....but DIC shows 8mpg in town empty with light foot which seems off.....also some days it will show 18mpg and next day 13mpg, same stretch of road at same speed....has anyone calculated it by hand to see if DIC is close, off or if every truck is different? truck definetly likes highway more than city in pretty substantial way.... no leak from rear window or fin yet
  18. or get seat position to be comfy with both pedals.....one pedal is either too close or too far no matter how seat is adjusted.....there is a company called ultimate pedals but i dont think they offset the pedals as much as is needed
  19. this is my truck....love that look tho 35s would be sufficient for me?....but i like factory rims and have same ones.....so they just use torsion crank for lift it looks like......i wouldnt mind leaving block out and just getting another inch or so out of front.....it doesnt ride alot stiffer with keys cranked?
  20. mine had 2 strokes about 1 year ago, but finally she just couldnt walk anymore and other issues....was in alot of pain and looked at me and said "i am done" 0ctober would be 15yrs......it sucks but part of life, anyway this isnt the place for that just caught me off guard as look almost identical......hopefully you have yours awhile they are the BEST!
  21. my issue is relationship between gas and brake....brake pedal is like 3 inches closer (to the seat) than the gas, i would love to get them more even with each other....maybe get brake pedal pushed closer to floor a few inches.....my toyota was almost dead even
  22. i was referring to Laura in Missouri.....thats the big one i believe
  23. yep thats the one i was thinking of
  24. kinda strange why they wouldnt do same for both 1500/2500/3500
