Been too busy loving my truck to post pics... lol. Picked her up Friday. Great experience at my dealer, absolutely love the truck. Worked out a great deal and 100K warranty. The 6.2 has way more power then I expected! Also really love the black badging and accents of the Midnight Edition. I ordered the Range Auto Stop Disabler within 2 hours of owning the truck. lol. Stubby Antenna installed yesterday. Rear seat covers have been on order should be in within the next few weeks. Tonneau should be here Friday. Exhaust next week. Scheduled for tint tomorrow and ceramic coating Thursday.... Wasting no time turning it into what I want. Thank you everyone for all the advice during the delivery process. This is really a great community and I look forward to being part of it for years to come. I'm back in a Bowtie and couldn't be happier! Hope she's a good one.

After reading ton of these posts I finally pulled the trigger. Just ordered the Borla Touring yesterday for my 6.2. Scheduled for install at my buddy's shop next Wednesday. I will post an obligatory video once complete. All signs point to this being the right move for me. I don't want to rumble the neighborhood. I've owned many loud exhausts over the years. I just want something that wakes up when I get on it but is mellow at idle and cruise. We shall see...

Funny thing... A few years back a friend of mine bought a work van and couldn't take delivery until a few days later. In the mean time someone was returning a test drive vehicle and hit his van. He refused to take delivery and got his lawyer involved. They killed the deal.... I guess anything is possible. Must be why my truck is sitting in a separate locked garage by itself until I get there later today. Getting excited!!! Besides who wants to drive off the lot in a wet dirty truck???

Paperwork is signed, deal is done! I pick it up tomorrow when the rain stops. My pops always taught me... Never buy a vehicle in the rain or in the dark. Come sunshine anything you didn’t see is not their problem now.

What setting for your bilstein 5100s?

Everything you need to know should be in this thread.... -
Just received a text that my truck has arrived in Baltimore! Wasn't expecting an update so soon. Hopefully it doesn't sit there for weeks collecting rain. The dealer did say they have the truck marked as "HOT"... Hopefully that matters for something.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times, but has this been resolved for the 2020 - 2021s? Or is just a dice roll? Considering there's 150 pages on this topic, if GM hasn't got their ****** together yet its pretty sad.

Bilstein 5100s are a HUGE upgrade!
childstoys replied to CS25's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
Sooo what’s everyone doing with all these spare Rancho shocks sitting in their garage? Lol Anyone having any luck selling them? Craigslist, FB Market Place, EBay? Also, is it true that the TB has different UCAs installed from the factory to compensate for the 2” stock lift? That said, if you install the adjustable 5100’s up front can you get away with bumping them to the 1” mark without having angle issues but still eliminate some but not all of the rake? I tow occasionally and I fear if I get rid of the rake entirely that the truck will sag when loaded or hauling. I’ve seen a few “leveled” trucks look like this. Also don’t want to have to deal with angle issues by lifting the front too high and having to swap the UCAs.- 388 replies

Spoke to my dealer today. Chevy is currently telling them that it takes between 3-4 weeks of transit for the vehicle to get to the Baltimore Port from Mexico once it is loaded on the ship.. Then add at least another week or two on top of that once it reaches the Baltimore Port to get to the dealership. So far my timeline has been: 6/22 - Order placed with Chevy 7/28 - Notified that the truck was built - supplied with VIN 8/4 - Truck released from Salio, MX plant in route to Tuxpan, MX port 8/13 - Truck shipped from Tuxpan, MX in route to Baltimore, MD port 8/25 - Truck still in transit to Baltimore, MD (ETA 3-4 weeks from shipping date) No ETA to dealership Hope this helps put into perspective wait times for those with trucks ordered and inbound.

Really like the look of these.... Wasn't even remotely considering them until seeing this post on the blacked out truck. Look sharp. -
Pedal Commander
childstoys replied to Chris walker's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Do you use it in addition to Sport Mode? Or does it essentially "replace" Sport Mode? Are the Normal / Sport / Offroad Modes effective when this is installed or do they do nothing when engaged? Also, I did see some posts about voiding warranty, which I am sure is the case. Has anyone experienced long term engine issues from these? -

New 2020 Sierra owner..now what?

Can someone point me in the direction of whats available for this? I was immediately turned off by this when I saw the interior of the Silverado. Does anyone make carbon fiber trim? -
I'm in the same position. In my teens and 20's I owned lifted V8's with straight pipes, cherry bombs, exhaust stacks, you name it. I've been without a loud exhaust for quite some time now, and I hunt a lot in areas where I need to access without making a commotion. I'm really leaning towards the Touring but my inner motorhead wants the S-Type. lol #FirstWorldProblems
-
Any luck with this??? Curious of the outcome. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an exhaust as soon as I take delivery. Been looking around for other posts about true dual vs Y pipe. Sound / Performance difference? I'm sure they would be marginal, but I bet we can all agree, it's the minor details that matter most in the mod world. lol I'm really stuck between the Touring and S-Type. I need to make a decision soon. My wife might kill me if she hears another exhaust YouTube video in the middle of the night. She tells me "You've listened to that same f@&king video 5 times now!" *Inserts Earbuds* lol

Same here. Seems like the entire logistics process surrounding ordering, shipping and receiving (not just) GM vehicles is a s4!t show. I check with Chevy.com often and they are of minimal help, but it's something. My dealer hasn't been able to tell me much more. It appears once the vehicle leaves the plant Chevy.com and my dealer are kind of lost on where and when the truck will arrive to the port to shipped, or if it's shipped, or when it will be received. Also when trucks are received a lot of people have been complaining about them sitting at the distribution facility for weeks on end. It is understandable that the world is a much different place since COVID-19. That said, we live in a day of extreme amounts of technology and tracking. I have been in technology and automation for almost 20 years All of which make logistics data almost effortless from a human point of view. Pandemic or not, it is hard to believe that someone doesn't know exactly where tens to hundreds of millions of dollars of automotive inventory is, and be able to relay that information to the buyer. My guess is they don't really care enough to give that information out. And as the consumer, we will get it when we get it. Either way, my truck was produced over a month ahead of schedule. So I will just STFU, wait it out and hope I don't receive a truck riddled with issues like some I read about on here. lol Good luck with the process and your truck!

I spoke to my Chevy dealer yesterday for an update on delivery. Truck is supposedly on a boat steaming toward Baltimore, MD. I have been on his case about horror stories of people waiting for weeks / months to get trucks out of the Baltimore holding tank. He sent me the direct chat message he had with Chevy stating they marked the vehicle as "HOT". He has said in the past this has worked for him to expedite the shipment of a vehicle. Anyone have any experience with this? Does it make a difference?

2020 Trailboss purchase
childstoys replied to MikeC23a's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Yeah that's what I am afraid of.... It seems to be the norm. I did speak to my dealership yesterday. He sent me the Chevy chat he had which did say my truck was in bound for Baltimore currently. As they put it "we have escalated the unit to HOT". He explained when he has done that in the past that he has seen them expedite it. Who knows how long it will actually take. I am going to post elsewhere to see if anyone even knows what that means. Seeing @Spyderwebb Midnight Edition above is killing me. Such a bad@ss looking truck. I'm not good at waiting for things... lol. -
