  1. I understand. I'm just wondering why they didn't post the TBN or TAN.
  2. I wonder why they are not showing TBN or Nitration? If TBN was 0 they would have flagged it.
  3. I have some Hot Wheels Redline cars from when I was little back in the early 60's. Just sold my Rear Engine Dragster Don Prudhomme for $36 and an Army Police van for $51.
  4. Just a thought and I know you just paid it off but the way the market is right now on trucks you might get a great deal on a trade.
  5. Nice! The flush I recommend if you have over 50k miles on your vehicle. You don't have to do it every time and if you are switching over from a different lubricant it helps clean thing up. AMSOIL P.i. is really good stuff. Only have to use it once in every 4k miles. I have a lot of customers that use it regularly and say it makes the engine idle smoother and some have gained mpg.
  6. Seems to me GM could have done a better job at keeping things quiet so customers don't freak out from sounds when opening doors and such. There are plenty of other makes and models out there that are quiet that run the same high pressure fuel setup as our trucks.
  7. If you want to go with AMSOIL it takes the Fuel Efficient ATF product code ATL. You can find out what all your truck takes buy looking it up here.
  8. That's weird, I didn't. When it posted it was just one.
  9. OK, I want to say it goes by gallons of fuel used. Not 100% sure. Mine on the Cruze isn't to hard to change, but I do have to take down the under body cover to get to it. It is located back by the passenger side rear wheel. I had to have the dealer change it out on the first change due to the fact that the canister wouldn't come loose and I was scared I was going to break it since I couldn't hold in place while I turned it. The main thing is to find a station that sells large quantities of fuel. That way it is always fresh and clean.
  10. Just an FYI but this is old information. Oil formulas are getting changed regularly and improved. It would be nice to see him do this same study on current formulas.
  11. I think you would be just fine running it. If in doubt then run the AC Delco at least for the first part of your warranty. What is the recommended change interval? My diesel Cruze has a % meter that counts down just the OLM. That filter looks the same size as my Cruze as well.
  12. From what I have read online that mileage with your set up isn't all that bad. Could be worse.
  13. What I have found is that some have a restriction in the tube and only allow the dipstick to go all the way down. Not much you can do other than regular drains from the drain plug. I find that the Fumoto drain valve is the way to go. Easy to use and no mess or wrenches to worry about other than getting the oil filter off.
  14. Exactly! AMSOIL transmission fluids and gear oils are very stout products.
  15. 2019 with the 6.2 and only have 18k. Since we moved and l lost my job the miles will not be adding up so fast as they did before.
  16. Running a quality synthetic will always benefit the user. The extra protection in extreme conditions against heat as well as sever cold are major benefits. AMSOIL's Severe Gear lubricant is outstanding. My 2002 Silverado I ran it to 100k miles in the differentials. Sent a sample off and they came back stating it was in great shape and run the next fill out to 125K. This is even pulling a 4K lbs , 10'x20' trailer with a stock differential cover.
  17. I Googled Tesla charging locations. Surprised to see where some of them are located. Sheetz, a local gas station convenient mart is installing them. Smart on their part. https://www.tesla.com/findus?v=2&bounds=40.49623283900731%2C-78.53486782031251%2C40.01938739289878%2C-79.85322719531251&zoom=11&filters=store%2Cservice%2Csupercharger%2Cdestination charger
  18. Tires, like stated will depend on many things. I got 70k out of my Michelin LTX MS2's But 40k on Continentals on our Suburban. Driving style and road conditions and city vs hwy make a difference. Suspension, I don't mess with it until something needs to be replaced. Again driving terrain and such come into play here. Brakes, well I was lucky on my 2002 Silverado. Still had the original pads on the front brakes. The rear got replaced at 120k due to the R/R caliper sticking wearing out the pads. Plugs i change out at 100k. Something that just makes me feel better. I know of some that go way longer with no issues. Oil changes. This is one that is up to the individual for the most part. I go by used oil analysis to let me know how far I can go. Right now I have been going 15k with AMSOIL Signature Series but the last two UOA's showed that I need to back it down so I'm going to test at 10K and see where I stand. Transmission fluid change is right on. Keep it changed out at 50k miles and life will be good for your transmission.
  19. Mine has been garage kept for the most part and when it was out I washed it often. So the finish was still in great shape. Just gave it a good hand wash and reapplied.
  20. Refreshed the ceramic coating today. Cold out but it has been two years and I wanted to keep it looking good. Amazed at how well the water still beads on it even before the refresh. Sad that it will not be in a garage for a while. At least until I can get the garage cleared out.
  21. So to most extended warranties are a moneymaker for the dealer but for us, it worked out. Well, when we purchased our 2016 suburban I went and got the extended warranty through GM for it. Cost us an extra $2k, most say it is a waste. Well, today it paid for itself. Our AC wasn't working. The compressor wasn't coming on and that meant low freon for the most part I was thinking. Well, I was right and the condenser was leaking. It is a known issue on these and it was just a matter of time before it went. While it was at the dealership, they noticed our front passenger strut was leaking. Since this has a magnetic ride that is expensive as well. The total for the bill was $2,400. I only had to pay $100. So now I'm hoping before the warranty runs out in 2025 that the other struts will go and get replaced as well. The dealer told me that they are up to $700 each now.
  22. I will. I plan on doing a full detail to the truck tomorrow. Weather is going to be cold but at least sunny for the next few days.
  23. I'm going to try AMSOIL's Mud Slinger on the carpet liners to see how well it helps keep the mud and road debris from sticking. It works well on everything else so it should do well on them I would think.
  24. A UOA will definitely tell you if the oil is thinning due to fuel dilution. This is a baffling situation for sure. Running a thicker oil will not hurt anything to see how it effects this.
