i made a mistake by not getting a crew cab with the baby....my truck works, but its a pain with the car seat because it only fits in the middle.....can get an av for 18000 off the sticker so it got me thinking

Jeez Mark....Your worse than I was in the '90s when I couldn't keep a truck barely more than a year!!

I had a '91,a '93,two '94s,and a '97 before I "settled down" with a '99 for 5 years before trading it in for the '04 I had,of course I only kept it 'til I got my '07!!

my 04 ext, 07 crew, and 08 reg cab were all leases and I would find someone to take them over.....when I found a guy to take over my 08, I had to make a quick decision on the 09.....should have went crew for the car seat

I have an extended cab too, and the car seat really only fits in the middle, but we have not had a problem with it. How old is your baby? My son has been riding in the truck since he was 3 months old, and he's 2 now. He likes it because he can see everything. The only problem is he likes to kick the fold down arm rest! We bought the extended cab because my old truck was a regular cab and we needed the space, and it fit our budget. We've been pleased. It's the best truck I've ever owned!

Frankly, Mark, I think you'd be happier looking for a crew cab instead of jumping to an Av. I was dead set on wanting an Av but I drove one back-to-back with the crew cab trucks, which completely changed my mind. The rearward visibility and overall feel of the trucks was much better to me than the Avs were.

 

Just a thought.

the baby is 2 months....I can manage without an issue, but when the wife uses the truck its difficult for her to step up, turn the car seat, manoeuvre it into the center, turn it around and latch it into the base

 

The only reason I am considering the AV is the 18,000 off !
